I have a idea for a class, kind of my ideal class... Only name for it I've thought of so far is "Swift Blade" or something of the sort This class focuses on speed + dodging, evading / crits I know this sounds like a rogue so far but hear me out This is a support/burst dmg class, and would have a mana pool, and use it for its buffs/group buffs. +speed +evasion +crit and of the sort, some of its buffs would be for a short time, like +crit, and some would last longer, like +evasion The main buff I have thought of is the speed, maybe it adds 20% speed, and every time he is hit, he loses 5%, and can go down to base speed. For every 2 secs he isn't hit, he gains 10%, and if he is in combat, he can have up to 30%. He also has a combo point like system that has 10 points, and he gains a point for every evasion/dodge and for those who aren't being hit, also for crits. He can use these points to bring up speed for a bit, even if being hit, or use it for burst dmg. This class uses cloth/leather/mail, depending on the role he has. He is able to tank (with dodge/evade) but not as well as a warrior, per say. Tanking would use mail, but would not run as fast/evade as much (but has a perk allowing parrying to add to his "combo points") Leather would be more PVE, with less dodge than cloth, but more than mail, and works how you would think. Cloth spec would have most dodging/evading, and would be the fastest (used for DPS/PvP) and would have the best burst dmg. This class would use only 1 one handed weapon, with something in its offhand, and swing twice as fast as any other class, but doing 25% less auto attack dmg. This class would be wanted for its group buffs, as it is a support/burst dmg (as i said before) and focuses on jumping about, avoiding being hit, hitting the enemy fast, hard, and getting out while being hit as little as possible. If there is anything else you want me to talk about with this class, let me know, also post suggestions you have to this class.
So, a Rogue?
So, a Rogue?
Like a rogue bit kind of also like a bard at the same time, it's different enough
Sounds like a rogue from RIFT.
ONLY USES ONE ONE HANDED WEAPON just remember theres other shit too read
read it and first think I thought of was a fencer.
read it and first think I thought of was a fencer.
Sounds like you dont fence
Sounds like you dont fence
No I don't but I don't think fencers want to get hit either. Doesn't have to be a direct relation which it appears you're making but I like the idea of an evasion tank. Don't see to many as the most common have shields. I think the warrior class from TERA will be a fun playstyle seeing as that's an evasion tank and they're pretty rare to see in an MMO. So.. You're the ideas guy?
generic idea
Wow you're probably going into game design. You probably can't wait for all the game programmers to get all over you because they're unable to make up their own ideas, or think creatively. right?
Not thread worthy.
Not worth a thread and I've seen this class in pretty much every single one of the dozens of MMOs I've played. It's called a rogue/assassin.
No class systems are way better
This didn't come close to deserving a thread... I'm sorry, but basically you've described a thief/rogue class that works basically the same as those in many games I've played.
