There have been a bit of threads like this throughout Google, and none have helped me. I decided to post one as maybe your knowledge is a little bit more "updated"
So I used to happily play Synergy with my brother. His works, but mine does not, even though we use the same type of PC and everything. We both have all hl2's mounted, and every game including Synergy are up to date. So tell me, how-come when I join any server with any map, it kicks me immediately off the game with no crash message.
I really want help with this, because I have been offered to play many times with no success upon joining.
Please help, this error is starting to eat my alive.

Very simple:
1.) I didn't know the answer to your question so there was no use posting.
2.) You [I]really[/I] overused :suicide: before you snipped them.

Also, you aren't telling us what you've tried.

I've verified the game cache.
I posted this so I could get the answer, fix my problem and then name it as solved so the others with this problem could refer to this.

Have you updated synergy to the latest version? did you try verifying synergy's cache? Have you played Hl2 before? did you re-install hl2 (if so then play it a bit then run synergy again)? did you try verifying hl2's cache?

I don't. It's why someone MIGHT rate dumb. I rated dumb for the other two reasons.
Are you on a mac? Macs aren't officially supported and currently can only play with other macs.
