DNS Lookup Failed... Whenever I start a valve/steam game...

I am using the google public DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 (alt) and whenever I start a valve game (I think this applies to all steam games) my DNS server explodes and my internet (including Chromium) just stops working... I can't even connect to google.com! The source of the DNS!

Any idea?
