I decided to send a tweet to @bethblog to see what they were thinking and they responded with this.

I just feel like they are being open about that fact it exists not like other companies who freak out and don't talk about it until days after it happened.

That pretty much should be every Digital Media Developer's stance on piracy. The E-World would be a much happier place
Just think of it, No always on DRM, no Starforce, No registering keys on new accounts after installing
They are banning youtube accounts for uploading videos of it on youtube apparently.
Honestly, I think that shutting down the leak streams and banning accounts is not only a dick move but a pointless one at the same time. You can't stop the entire internet from watching a few minutes of new Skyrim gameplay. All we want to do is see some gameplay of this game which we've been waiting for a bloody long time, but Bethesda have taken a great big shit on us like a bunch of bratty children.

It's more like 30 minutes per video of playtime, and they are cracking down on them because once one person has seen spoilers, they have to spoil it for everyone else and it ends up being a spoiler infection that spreads everywhere.
Same thing happened with Portal 2.

I'm glad they are doing that then. So the people who pirated Skyrim at least have a little consequence for doing so. It may be nothing too big but it's something. All they want is to release their game they have been working hard on for years but instead people like you are acting like a bunch of bratty children.

Even if that did happen, what difference would it make? the spoilers would still get out on release day. If anything, leaks give publicity.

It's not that they don't care it's just that they despise the people who do that.
And I agree with them. If you set a precise deadline, it's really frustrating to see a bunch of dudes not only playing your game before the said deadline, but also showing it to tons of people and, most importantly, STEALING the game.
And I don't mean piracy after the game's released, I mean actual physical theft of a stored unopened physical copy of the game.
How are they being "really awesome". they just gave a no bullshit answer to a no bullshit question.
I was just surprised when it turned out that Max Von Sydow was a dragon, and then he sacrificed himself to give you the last word in the dragon language.
It was a really touching scene, I think.

Werewolves being in the game were confirmed by Bethesda two or three weeks ago
I can't wait to see someone put a massive spoiler in a thread title again, and have it at the top of popular threads so it's spoiled for everyone!
