I haven't seen a megathread about this game, so, here it is Anyone remember this game? It was very popular years ago, I just got the game like days ago, it's very fun, I came here to see if there was a megathread about it, I was surprised there was none, I'm going to suggest you all this game if you love playing games in "Diablo" style. This game is very fun, annoying in some parts, but most of it is fun if you play with friends, killing hordes of monsters, taking their stuff and using it against them, I'd like to help anyone who's starting the game, these are the basic monsters you'll fight: [release] [tab]The Satyr[/tab] The first mythological creatures that you will see plenty of in Greece are satyrs. In Greek mythology, satyrs are woodland and mountain deities that are half-human and half-beast. The upper portion of a satyr's body appears to be more human while the bottom half resembles the legs, hoofs and tail of a goat. Although the head appears to be more human, these mythological creatures have horns. Satyrs are typically portrayed as harmless woodland creatures that greatly enjoy wine, dance and chasing nymphs. The satyrs in Titan Quest have come under some mystical enchantment and are organizing into a considerable fighting force. Satyr armies roam throughout all of Greece. Because the player will see a lot of these creatures in the first act of the game we created three main model variations. The base satyr model is a soldier. The soldier is the most abundant creature in Greece and attacks the player in large numbers. The next satyr model that was created was the satyr brute model. The brute is bigger and more powerful than the soldier. The brute can dish out much more physical damage and was designed to look as though he will. The last model variant that we created is the satyr mage. When designing him we wanted to visually communicate that he is the oldest and wisest of all the satyrs so we made his horns longer and more elaborate than any other satyr in the game. He is typically adorned with common mage attire and adds an additional game play dynamic when assisting the brute and soldier. [tab]The Centaur[/tab] The Centaur is one of the most noble looking mythological creatures in the game, but also very deadly. In Greek mythology, Centaurs have the body of a horse, but the torso, arms and head of a man. When designing our centaurs we wanted to make sure the horse part of the body looked bigger and more intimidating than any horse that we have in the game. We wanted the body to resemble that of a Clydesdale. The human portion of the body needed to look equally as strong, but the face had to look noble and intelligent. We wanted to make our centaurs look as though they could craft weapons, plan attacks, build and wear armor, but also crush your bones if you got in their path. [tab]Orthus[/tab] Orthus was the Greek mythological two headed dog that guarded the cattle of Geryon. When designing our Orthus, we wanted the design to appear slightly unearthly so we gave it glowing vents along its rib cage. We did this for two reasons. The first was to make our Orthus appear more beast like and less like a mutant dog and the second was it gave us the opportunity to apply a glow map to the fiery vents so the creature would be more visible in dark undergrounds. With many of out creature designs, we always try to take advantage of the environment the creature will be inhabiting, and use effects that will enhance that experience. When you see the glowing rib vents come out of the shadowy corners, you know you're in for a battle with the two headed dog known as the Orthus. [tab]Limos[/tab] The demon Limos is the spirit of hunger, famine and starvation. When designing this creature we wanted to create a much darker, creepier monster. The helmet of Limos conceals his eyes and his long emaciated fingers are overly animated when consuming the player's health as if he is devouring your soul. This hunched back demon moves swiftly and is usually found amongst the dead. [tab]Ichthyian[/tab] These are just a few of the monsters you will encounter while adventuring through the ancient world in Titan Quest. Next month we will be taking a look at some of the creatures that dwell amongst the dunes of Egypt. Looks great!
Anything I should add to it?
The different areas? Just a suggestion.
Fucking Limos man. God damn.
It's been a while since I played it, but I seem to remember there being a load of classes you could mix and match when you were levelling. Does anyone have any particular recommendations concerning that?
Tried to play it full COOP, game started to bug up like fuck. Never played it since then.
I got it, and I got to Egypt, and I'm like fuck this game is LONG.

I have this but I've never got round to installing it, I'll try it out after my exams.
Elementalist is my favorite class, love mob management that way.
I kinda lost interest when I realized my hunting/dream character was literally untouchable by any enemy in the game. (He had 100% chance to dodge projectiles and a high enough defense ability to dodge every melee attack) I liked the nature character I made afterward though. I think I'm addicted to games where I can sit back and watch minions kill everything. (I was a summoning Necromancer in Diablo 2)

I'd like to check this game out, where can I find it?

Great game to play through once but that's about it. I don't know about anyone else but I couldn't possibly stand to play through the first act all over again.
Anyone else finish the bonus developer dungeon that can only be opened by collecting four keys from various parts of the COLOSSAL mountain of dungeon that is Hades, with the final key being dropped only by Hades himself? Overpowered monsters everywhere, culminating with a boss stronger than both a Telkine and Typhon combined, all nearby a statue of a turtle on a throne.

Distortion wave is so OP it's the only attack you'll ever need throughout the game. It's also the most hilarious, because it sends ragdolls soaring into the air if the attack kills them.
I remember I had some bow character who used all kinds of poison attacks, was pretty fun. I never beat it though. I've played through it three times in coop, always stopping when I get to the oracle or whatever it is.
I got this during that daily deal so I might be interested in starting a new co-op character to play some co-op with anyone who is interested.
Me and a few friends played Co-op over the summer and it was pretty fun, it was something to hold us over till Diablo III comes out. Wouldn't mind playing again sometime.

Especially Legendary when some special bosses appear which drop a lot of goodies.
Love this game. But god damn that first act is tiresome. After beating it I recommend trying it out with the XMAX mod, 10x the mob spawns and 3x the boss spawns. Good times. Need a decent computer for it though.
I've played the first game once it came out. It was awesome at first, then it got great, then good and then cool, and then I became so bored of doing the same shit I stopped playing it.
