You wont even be able to grasp a trace of the hatred I have for you right now.
Out of control Mad Milk?
Honestly though, verify and check you graphics.
I had white surface of water when I launched Garry's Mod on DirectX 6.0 mode and opened up 2fort.
So -dxlevel has probably something to do with it.
I'm not sure, but try dx_level 81, I remember that some kind of variation of this dx_level 8X was to fix stuff like that..

Yes, try this, it might actually work.

-dxlevel 80 is wrong, use -dxlevel 81
if all else fails you could also put -autoconfig in your launch options.
it will basically reset all of your games settings, along with any mods you may have installed.

you're assuming i am trying to be
Maybe you should post your specs?
Okay guys I have a box full of fluffy cute kittens every time someone drops a dumb post I snap one kittens neck.
But on a serious note post specs.
dx8 right?
go to launch commands and do -dxlevel 81 instead of -dxlevel 8

You incoherent son of a bitch.
you're assuming i am trying to be
You're implying that you're not trying to be, when it's obvious that you are.
your water is white?
mine is all black...but it looks much better than yours...
*if you know what I mean*
I had this when I played tf2 on my old laptop. I used dx8 in my launch options which turns the water white.

Shitposting can get you banned though.

You launched Gmod on DX-level, which Source haven't supported for a while, and you wonder why 2fort was fucked... :v:

yes but sometimes a thread is so bad the only proper response is shitpost
yes but sometimes a thread is so bad the only proper response is shitpost
So do you consider all threads do be bad?
Because all of your posts are shitposts.
yes but sometimes a thread is so bad the only proper response is shitpost
...what?
Hamodey1 asked for help in a manner that we could understand the problem. I understand making a witty joke about the picture, but admitting to shitpost? How low can you possibly get? Do you even know what you're saying?
Anyway, for Hamodey1: try putting -dxlevel 81 on the launch options like someone here said. Try verifying the game cache aswell.
yes but sometimes a thread is so bad the only proper response is shitpost
No. There is no excuse for shitposting. You're simply an unfunny faggot who wants to think he's cool to a bunch of other unfunny faggots on the Internet. OP was requesting help for a simple problem, not requesting the peanut gallery to come along and poke pointless and unhelpful fun.
As for the actual problem at hand, I'd say follow everyone else's advice about fiddling with the dxlevel. I actually have a similar problem in TF2 where all my water is completely pitch black, so I guess I'll try the same thing everyone else is suggesting.
Ok , this happend to me too but i accideltely fixed it , first in the set launch options i wrote -dxlevel 81
after that i booted up the game and i saw that my res was at 1280x768 , i normaly play on (native)
but then i tryed to change it to native and the game crashed after that i removed -dxlevel 81 and booted up the game and put my res to 1360x768 , Then i went in server with map - 2fort and the water was working. - welcom if i helped , steam ID : http://steamcommunity.com/id/BEASTGAMIN/ - add me ;)
