The game is developing, it began as a Fallout mod, then became an amateur game, originally a RPG, now transformed into some action TPP horror, no multiplayer is planned. It will be released on 25th November. Game is being developed by Nicolas Intoxicate. Best part - game is sold for 1$ currently and if sales don't reach 10 millions, money will be donated to charity. Official page has very good info, so I'll do some copy-paste: What is Afterfall: InSanity? Afterfall: InSanity is a post-apocalyptic action TPP horror game. 'Afterfall' means, that the game takes place in the Afterfall universe which is an alternate version of history since the Second World War. 'InSanity' refers to the shocking events that occur in the year 2035. The story Every alternate history has that point at which that story’s timeline and our own diverges. Let us imagine that the Second World War had ended differently than the way we'd been taught in school. In the final moments of the war, Hitler managed to create his Wunderwaffe – a team of Nazi physicists finished the German a-bomb project. In January 1945, a V-2 rocket armed with a nuclear warhead fell on the Soviet army that was preparing to cross the Polish – German border. Military activities were stopped, and truce talks began. During these talks, first USA and then the USSR developed their own nuclear weapons. The atmosphere became tense. The border between Germany and Vistula wasn't ultimately set and AK announced the creation of New Poland. In the aftermath of the treaties between Germany, USA and the USSR, New Poland became a buffer zone with US military bases spread around its territory. Thus begun the global Cold War. The US invested heavily in the development of Poland, especially its military industrial complex. Poland east of the Vistula and San – Socialist Republic of Eastern Poland - was under Russian influence and Warsaw, as its capital, was surrounded with the Warsaw Wall. In 1960, the rebellious Soviet general Kaiser fired a nuclear missile aimed at one of the USSR’s military bases in the former Eastern Poland. Kaiser announced that if USSR wouldn’t fulfill his demands, then had sixteen more of those missiles to fire. During the next seventeen days the USSR withdrew from the occupied part of Poland and Western Ukraine. Kaiser was proclaimed the Head of State and the era of Totalitarian Poland begun. The USA officially withdrew its army from Polish territories, but secret negotiations continued. They culminated with an unofficial agreement concerning further financial support and technological exchange. In 2011 Germany completed the development of a new bomb. Its real power was a mystery even to the bomb’s creators. One year later, the bomb called Entropy exploded over the La Manche channel. Whether by accident or part of an intentional action remains a mystery. As a result all of the rockets throughout the Cold War theater locked onto their targets and were fired at the same time. The Third World War became a fact; no one had time to ponder over the nature of that first explosion. Some of the people managed to hide in underground shelters which were a part of vast military complexes. Decades had passed before the first tentative expeditions were sent to the surface. With the dull sounds of explosions, the true Afterfall had begun. In Afterfall: InSanity our protagonist, Albert, is a member of the medical team in the Shelter. Especially interested in the Confinement Syndrome, even he is not free of its symptoms. When all hell begins to break loose, Albert will have to find out who is responsible for the tragedy and why. Discovering who is his enemy and who can be trusted as a friend, Albert will face dangers lurking in the darkness and will be forced to confront his own weakness' and fears. What is FearLock and FreeFight? FearLock is an in-game fear measurement system. It affects accuracy, making aiming harder when the player’s FearLock level is high. At the same time it makes Albert's melee hits stronger. The second feature is FreeFight – a system of melee combat that allows the objects found all around the player’s environment to be utilized in combat. At first both of these systems were supposed to have even more effect within the game than they currently do. Sufficiently high levels of FearLock were found to drive the player to suicide and during FreeFight players could use almost any object in the game as a wieldable weapon. Due to the interference in the character's behavior and complexity of these systems, we decided to limit the features for practical reasons - our testers who played the game for the first time had problems with combat. Currently FearLock and FreeFight are limited but at the same time, thanks to proper balancing, much more accessible and exciting. Will there be a playable demo and/or DLC? DLC is planned. It will be in a form of small add-on's (costumes, weapons) and also as bigger, story-oriented expansions– for example re-living the events through the eyes of a different character. We are taking the position that DLC should be available for free. Demo – if there is one (and we definitely hope to create one), it will be after the game’s initial release. Incredible production quality for an indie title, but I don't think they'll get to 10 million.
Unfortunately, probably yes, but hey, 'who dares, wins'.
It's stupid if you ask me. There's no way they will reach 10 million, so if you pay a dollar you'll just lose it to an unknown charity.
Wow, this looks fucking amazing. I bought 2 keys.

I like the sound of the FearLock sanity system; making you weaker at ranged yet stronger in melee, but too much causing you to off yourself. I'll keep my eyes on this.
Damn, that's really interesting. Bought 1 key!
I can definitely see the Fallout feel, but also some Dead Space inspiration. Definitely going to get this, hell I'll pay more than 1$ that's for sure. [editline]10th October 2011[/editline] Fuck, only Paypal......my account has been put to "limited" and with their shitty customer support, I never had an answer. Guess I'll wait if they accept Visa later.
check youtube comments WOW TERRIBLE ENGLISH + SOME UNKNOWN CHARITY = SCAM! DONT BUY!!!
Honestly looks like something that would generally cost $20. I'm impressed.
Wait, I'm confused. We pay for this, and when the game comes out, do we get it? Or do we only get it if it reaches 10 million?
Wait, I'm confused. We pay for this, and when the game comes out, do we get it? But if only 9,999,999 million people pay that one dollar, your dollar will get donated to charity and you will have to buy the game at full price, but good news! you will get a one dollar discount.

No chance. Did they ever say how much "Full Price" would be?
That looks fucking amazing I would probably buy this even if it wasn't a dollar
Wow...The problem is, I really don't think 10 million people will preorder this. No chance. Did they ever say how much "Full Price" would be?
Nope, no mention on that. Let's hope it's not a "FULL" price as in 50-60$. Will lose whole point of it being an indie game.
There's still more than 2 months until the release, so if they advertise this enough, they might just get those 10 million. I doubt it would be that hard to find 10 million people who'd be willing to pay a dollar on the internet.
We'll see how this goes, I'm gonna donate 100$ like I did for humble just to get the revenues going. [editline]10th October 2011[/editline] 100$ to charity is still a win for me

I really don't think they'll get that many...But I'll be sure to keep an eye on the counter.
10 million is wishfull thinking. I am sure they expect it to fail and sell their game for 60 euro anyway.
The voice acting is... Well, uh, horrible.
Seems like an attempt to go viral
Great atmosphere though, looks like a post-apocalyptic dead space-meets-resident evil
Bought 3 keys for me and my mates. For this little money people what can go wrong? buy it.
I can tell that this game was inspired by illbleed.
What? Surely we don't want them to reach 10 million dollars because then they're going to keep the money and not give it to charity? Not that there's any danger of it reaching 10 million anyway. This is fucking stupid. And because it obviously won't get to 10 million, you're expected to pay 34 dollars for it? Good luck employees of this studio in your next jobs. And all in the supposed name of charity too. Look if I wanted to donate to charity, i'm not going to give 1 dollar to some shitty indie studio.
10 million sales in 2 months that's silly
It's sad that I can't even afford a dollar to buy this. I want to get it D:

I don't see how it's stupid. 2. Obviously? Did you expect the game to be free or $5? It looks very good for an indie title, so I don't see any reason why they wouldn't charge $34 for a quality product (Which is actually pretty cheap comparing to other game prices) 3. So you're implying this game sucks? Because if anything, it looks great and I don't think they will have trouble finding a job judging by size and quality of this game. If anything, some publisher will probably buy them to make a sequel, either as Dead Space competitor or maybe even get hired by DS team. :v: [editline]11th October 2011[/editline] Also, thread title sucks, makes it look like a cheap 2d or some flash game.
The game has cheesy voice acting. That guarantees it will be good.
