I found that if you build on top of a lillypad, and build upwards to the top of the map, 128, and start building outwards, the whole place starts to get crazy. here are some screenshots.

as you add blocks to the side, it grabs blocks from the ocean apparently. It brings them up to the sky. this shit is weird

It's not viruses, there are just a LOT of screenshots. Anyways, this is on 1.9 pre 5 and its on a server with no mods. I'm the only one who can see it as of now.

I thought that, until I could place boats on the floating water, and everyone could see the boats floating on the water. But not the water itself.
Notch was tweeting about how he fucked it up, apparently it'll be fixed on sunday.
