Ever been playing a game and found yourself with goosebumps from something?, how about jump scares from the fucking fast zombie or just creepy and deranged stuff you find in games?. Well sit back and relax as we all share stories and experiences as well as Creepypasta related to games....don't forgot those crazy Urban Legends.
These ones are True
1. Creepy figures in Super Mario Galaxy 1&2
Recall this level?

Well in Japanese the translation for it was Hell's valley...

2. Possessed Children in WOW.

Okay this has to do with the dark god Cthun really but these kids occasionally wonder the realm and shout out creepy monotones of "your going to die", at a certain time they all meet up in a house, It's related to the Dark God Cthun.

3. The hidden WOW Dungeion
the unused dungeon just outside a game area called Karazhan (sometimes referred to by players to as "Lower Karazhan"). It's a dungeon that was apparently scrapped partway through development, and in front of the entrance is an impassable gate. But just as with that old abandoned mine outside of town,.

Most speculate that Blizzard removed it as it would upset the T rating they were going with, and these things are everywhere in that place.
4. Glados gagged and bound.
"Eventually, we settled on a huge mechanical device with a delicate robotic figure dangling out of it, which successfully conveys both GLaDOS' raw power and her femininity."- Jeremy Bennett, the game's art director.
Now lets look at her, sure I ugh, Look close at the plates she does look like some female type figure being holded

Originally, according to Bennett, she resembled an upside-down version of Botticelli's "Rise of Venus":

One Unkown Myth:
Polybius
Polybius is a supposed arcade game featured in an Internet urban legend. According to the story, the Tempest-style game was released to the public in 1981, and caused its players to go insane, causing them to suffer from intense stress, horrific nightmares, and even suicidal tendencies. A short time after its release, it supposedly disappeared without a trace. Not much evidence for the existence of such a game has ever been discovered.Polybius gets its name from Polybius, the Greek historian who among his other works, was also known for his works in relation to cryptography and for developing the Polybius square.
According to the story, an unheard-of new arcade game appeared in several suburbs of Portland, Oregon in 1981, something of a rarity at the time. The game, Polybius, proved to be incredibly popular, to the point of addiction, and lines formed around the machines, quickly followed by clusters of visits from men in black. Rather than the usual marketing data collected by company visitors to arcade machines, they collected some unknown data, allegedly testing responses to the psychoactive machines. The players themselves suffered from a series of unpleasant side-effects, including amnesia, insomnia, nightmares, night terrors, and even suicide in some versions of the legend. Some players stopped playing video games, while it is reported that one became an anti-gaming activist. The supposed creator of Polybius is Ed Rotberg, and the company named in the urban legend is Sinneslöschen (German for "sensory-extinguishing" is the exact translation), often named as either a secret government organization or a codename for Atari. The gameplay is said to be similar to Tempest (a shoot 'em up game utilizing vector graphics), while the game is said to contain subliminal messages which would influence the action of anyone playing it. Some people playing the game found messages like:" No imagination","Obey","Stay asleep"," Work 8 hours, Play 8 hours, Sleep 8 hours", "Surrender", "Be normal", "Game corrupt","No thought", "Conform","Do not question the authority", among others (possibly a reference to the cult 1980s film They Live).[citation needed]
The origin of the legend is unknown. Some internet commentators think it originated as a usenet hoax. Other bloggers believe the story is a true urban legend – one that grew out of exaggerated and distorted tales of an early release version of Tempest that caused problems with photosensitive epilepsy; the game was reported to have caused motion sickness and vertigo, and was therefore pulled.
Several people have claimed to have a ROM of the game, but none of them have made it available for public scrutiny, a "lack of hard evidence" situation typical of hoaxes and conspiracy theories. Conflicting information is even circulated regarding the style or genre of the game. Some sources claim it is a maze-style game, while others describe it as an action space-fighter.
The Polybius legend received some mass-market attention in the September 2003 issue of GamePro magazine, as part of a feature story on video game urban legends called "Secrets and Lies".[2] The magazine determined the legend to be neither true nor false, but "inconclusive".[3] Additionally, Snopes.com claims to have debunked the myth as a modern-day version of 1980's rumors of "Men in Black" visiting arcades and taking down the names of high scorers at arcade games On March 20, 2006, a man under the name of Steven Roach made a post on coinop.org telling the story of his involvement with Polybius, and how he hoped to "lay it to rest".[5] He claimed to have been working for a South American company that wished to promote a "new approach" to computer graphics (probably vector graphics). The game was claimed to be very inventive and addictive but the graphics, through mistake rather than design, were dangerous and prompted epileptic fits. The product was recalled, the subcontractors (Sinneslöschen) were disbanded, and the program was lost.
On April 26, 2006 Duane Weatherall of Gamepulse.co.uk (now bitparade.co.uk) interviewed Roach after he posted this message on another forum.[5] The Roach story contained a number of inconsistencies: some of it seems to be[original research?] directly sourced from Wikipedia, such as the suggestion of Cyberyogi's involvement,[clarification needed] which was the product of extensive searching through Usenet archives on the part of a Wikipedia editor.[citation needed] The interview also included some of Roach's background, including the revelation that he comes from Rhyl, Wales, and a possible recreation of the storyline.[4]
Way to take all of a cracked article's work as your own, rephrasing it terribly and stripping it of any comical or engaging writing quality.
These things always scared me in Zelda: Ocorina of Time.

This thing gave me nightmares, being 3 years old and playing Mario 64.
Hell, it actually spawned my fear of deep water in games (I don't even like going underwater in Crysis and San Andreas).
Mario stuff: Creepy and weird, something I would expect Nintendo to hide in their games.
WoW shit: Not even close to anything interesting or creepy.

In Mass Effect 2, in some of the bars(particularly Afterlife), if you look at the crowd on the upper levels...they're just poorly textured, static models.
It's kinda creepy, and makes the whole place seem a lot less alive.

I just started my first playthough in SHoC, and I swear, when I encountered the first one in the Agroprom underground, it was probably the most intense moment of a game that I've played since Amnesia.
The fucking [sp]Controller[/sp] at the end didn't help either.

I was pretty much scared shitless by the entire Bottom of the Well/Shadow Temple part of the game, especially the miniboss in the well, Dead Hand.

Almost everything in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl's X-18 Lab, especially the ambient sounds, lighting and shadows effects combined, it creates a very stressing and unnerving atmosphere, more so than the actual Bloodsuckers and military or bandits. That, and the Agroprom's underground level as well. And, to some degree (but less than X-18 Lab) is the second Lab, X-16.

THIS GAME.
You have no idea how scary this game was. Watch this video.

I played that when I was 5 or 6. My friend and I just recently beat the whole game. The farthest I got when I was a kid was like only 1/10th of the game it was so scary. Not to mention, if you get caught by one of the dogs, a huge close up of the dogs face appears, and horrible, loud music plays. I would never play that game because of it.

It's also kind of the same for the arena in Mount and Blade where there is sometimes just nobody watching...It's unnerving.

is being afraid of underwater in pretty much every video game scary as shit for a lot of people? because seriously being underwater in any game at all for me is unbearable and i usually have to call a friend over to play it if it's a necessary part of the game.

Christ, thinking of it now, I've never even took the stache, the first meeting I died and the second I just ran the fuck out of there.

Those guys! Holy shit those guys. I'm walking, minding my own business, and then these fuckers jump out at you from around a corner, running everywhere. And that groaning that they make when you're near them, but they aren't actually attacking you. Unnerving.
Near the end of the game, you come across wall-mounted eggs with these guys in them. When you get near them, then they'll burst out of their eggs and attack you. The fact that not all of the eggs hatch the first time you come near them just adds to the paranoia.
Same goes for these guys.

Same as the above enemy, except they're encountered earlier, don't hatch from eggs, and are wrapped in bandages.
I remember this one time during the Egypt levels I came to this one spot and then dramatic music started playing (IIRC that particular song played only during that particular situation) and two of those fuckers attacked me at once.
Oh, and earlier near the end of the 4th level before grabbing a piece of the Scion, there's one of them behind the artifact standing there, arms crossed, tracking my movements, and then they fall over when you shot it.
They made me so very paranoid when I was in the Egypt levels.
From the original Tomb Raider. They're not nearly as scary in Anniversary.
I remember playing Gothic 2, and I had just returned from the Valley of Mines. It was night, and I ran up to the pass, there were 2 dead paladins and a fucking seeker on the other side. It spooked me so fucking hard.
