2) There is a technical support subforum
3) You probably need the PS2 looked at by a semi-professional (Since there really is no official professionals anymore)
Why are you fixing your boyfriends PS2, and why does he have a PS2?
This is a ribbon cable for the reset button on certain slim models. You should check your machine and be sure this is the problem, and check to see if it's the correct model. PS2's had several manufacturers and each one had a different ribbon.
