Well apparently people are saying the game is coming out Nov. 8, 2011. Which is tomorrow if you read this today. But in Feb for Europe. Now this is the first time that a Metal Gear solid game is coming out before Japan which is a bit odd. The game contains Metal Gear Solid 2 - Subsistence , Metal Gear Solid 3 - Snake Eater - Subsistence, and finally Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker all rendered in HD. Now do you think this will be a blow out since Modern Warfare 3 will be released tomorrow or not? It will be out for PS3 and Xbox 360.
The fact that MW3 releases tomorrow makes no real difference. Fans of the series will buy it anyway.

The japanese PS3 version gets a voucher/code to download MGS from the PSN with the exclusion of Peace Walker (being released by itself over there).
Doesn't really explain why they didn't port MGS though but it's possible that they would have to remake it entirely instead of upscaling models, licensing issues and/or gameplay inconsistencies between the games.

Not a remake. More of a graphics overhaul; kind of like MGS1 and its remastered Gamecube counterpart.

How is the release date complete bullshit? Amazon says it goes on sale tomorrow and everyone else has the release date set for tomorrow.
Makes sense too since games are released on Tuesday in North America.
He probably means it's bullshit because they're releasing on a date next to what will be, if the past has anything to say about it, the biggest video game launch in history.

Wouldn't surprise me if they completely remade MGS 1 kind of like how they did for the Twin Snakes.
They created almost all of the assets they would need with MGS 4 and most of the levels are already there. Level design wise, it's really just a matter of fixing the place up a little, cleaning up the textures since everything had a rundown look in MGS 4, and remaking the levels they didn't for MGS 4.[/QUOTE]
