If you get a gifted game, can you re-gift it to someone else?

Just as the title states. Can you?
I'm pretty sure once you get gifted a game, it automatically activates.
I think unless its steam traded to you; no.
Not fully sure though.
Yeah, I was planning on trading some TF2 items for a game to give to someone.
Traded only.
Okay, I guess that clears it up, thanks.
Next time try Steam Help and Support, they know the answer for sure and we're not meant to provide support for Steam
As long as the person you gave it to hasn't activated it, yes.
yes, if you gift someone and the person didn't activate it you can gift someone else
but you received a gift and activated it, you can't do anything, it's yours now :p
If you get traded a game, you can. If you get gifted it, it's automatically yours unless you already own it.

Though the sender cannot send it then.

If you can't now you used to be able to. I had a HL2 someone gifted to me and I could gift it to someone else cause I had it already. But that was at least 3-4 years ago.
