Downloaded 12w01a Snap shot... NO MOB SPAWNING EGGS?

I downloaded the most recent snapshot and I have to say I love the new terrain generation. But when I opened my inventory in Creative there were no mob eggs. I installed it like this:
1. Clicked "Download"
2. Changed it from '.zip' to '.jar' (7zip won't open zips)
3. Replaced original jar.
And that's it. Someone help.

It shouldn't be in .zip format. Try this one, it's the official link:

It's still in zip. And I changed the zip from zip to jar so it won't matter right??

You must have a problem then, because thats a .jar file

I've heard Internet Explorer turns .jar files into .zip files when you download. Install Firefox/Opera/Chrome and try downloading it again.

No because you must have done something STUPID and made it so that all jar files open up with your default compression manager.

No he's just using IE.

Use any other browser if you want to download a .jar, IE will automatically change it into a .zip.
But honestly, it changes nothing that you just change the extension from .zip to .jar.
