Ok, this is pissing me off so much, can't find a fix anywhere, so I thought I'd come to facepunch, because this is pissing me off so much. I used to map all the time with hammer and just more recently wanted* to start up again. The reason I say wanted is because every time I launch Hammer, from source sdk, or from the directory, it will run fine, I will start a new map, or load an old one, and it will run fine, then about 1-2 minutes in, it will freeze, not respond, and when I go to my process list its taking about 90% of the CPU, and hammer is still not responding.
I've uninstalled, reinstalled, verified cache, reset game configurations.
I've tried using HL2, CS:S and Gmod settings, all of it will still freeze.
Please help, making me so angry, and I really want to map.

On a more helpful note - did you recently upgrade your hardware, install a driver update or anything else that could majorly fuck up how things work?
