I loved smashing shit up in Flatout 1 & 2. i'll be looking forward to this!
I had heard literally nothing about this. I may buy it considering that I loved the first two and the one for the psp was easily one of the best psp games.
yea this just suddenly appeared on steam, I picked up Flatout 2 during a steam sale and I loved it.
I hope those trailers are old/ won't represent the final product because the vehicle damage and physics didn't seem special or impressive, it's like the developers worked on quantity rather than quality.
Why the fuck haven't I heard about this? Has there been any attention of this towards the media?! Shit I remember renting FlatOut 2 on PS2, and roleplaying as Batman or some shit, playing that derby mini-game, then fucking cried when I knew my rent was over
I remember the first time I saw a dude fly through the windscreen of a car in a trailer for Flatout 1 and I was just like FUCKING YES THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND and hurled every game I already owned out the window knowing they could never live up to that. In a day and age where being launched out of a car is par for the course this has a lot to live up to to be a successful sequel in my eyes.
i need to go change my pants
what is the differences between ultimate carnage and 2 honestly
I hope they got all the opponents from flatout two that Jack Benton was a cunt though.
what is the differences between ultimate carnage and 2 honestly
Stuff was higher quality and had more reflections n shit.
The videos I've seen of cars crashing looks like they just explode. Like the chassis looks the same every time, but the parts fly off. All of them. Every time.
Much as I like the series this looks disappointing as hell. It looks like they made no improvement whatsoever from Ultimate Carnage, and as result it looks like a really outdated game loaded with fancy screen filters to try and compensate for that.
I absolutely loved Flatout 2, but considering that all of Team6's previous games look like shitty bargain bin games, I don't have very high hopes for this.

I acknowledged their existence because I am a member of FlatoutJoint, a huge mod database for Flatout Titles. Sadly, there will be no chassis deformation at all [editline]7th December 2011[/editline]
I had heard literally nothing about this.
what is the differences between ultimate carnage and 2 honestly
I got them all on a sale. I think Ultimate was just the PC optimized version. It certainly looks and plays a lot better. As for 3, this is an incredible surprise. I didn't expect this at all and for $30? Fuck I'll buy it.

Anyway, Ultimate Carnage is just a graphically updated FlatOut 2, with 1-2 new cars and the elimination of the moddability feature. OP has been updated. Also, I think I still have some screenshots left. Should I post some pictures to show you guys how far damage can go?
Wait what? There were no any information about it and they going release like next week. They have balls. But the physics look too arcadish compare to first 2 games.
Wait what? There were no any information about it and they going release like next week. They have balls. The camera sometime looks stiff and the driving didn't feel that good IIRC, blame the publisher for the lack of information. They wanted them to stay as much silent as possible
I wonder if the replay function is going to be any better, IF there will be one.
I wonder if the replay function is going to be any better, IF there will be one.
That's actually a good question.
Stuff was higher quality and had more reflections n shit.
It also had less tracks.
So they took an awesome racing game, gave it to a shit developer and expected something good? This looks terrible, in every possible way.
This looks really bad. I loved Flatout 1 and 2 because you had to race against a quite good AI ALTHOUGH you didn't have the simplification of advanced physics. All the destroyable objects made it more challenging to still win a race. Nevertheless RACING was still the main point and the games(high jump and so on) were just some goofs from the devs. Now THIS looks like it's made for an 11 year old. From the stupid way cars crash, over now having "Monstar Trucks yea hurr durr crashes" to the absolutely pathetic way the trailer is made this looks like an insult to the first games.
Its a PC exclusive? Mind = blown.
Holy shit I love flatout! Ah shit I'm so excited!!1
Team6 also makes some amazing games like: Sinterklaas [img_thumb]http://team6shop.com/images/screenshotsbig/30e08a363d3f8a672a80c41083e00312.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://team6shop.com/images/screenshotsbig/80941c8a67a0102fbe97a23553fd1504.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://team6shop.com/images/screenshotsbig/ec90c4f62e125037deb0a7dc62c11a9f.jpg[/img_thumb] Scooter War3z [img_thumb]http://team6shop.com/images/screenshotsbig/bd12ea00d62561797149e6a3aeee6a1e.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://team6shop.com/images/screenshotsbig/684af31f8cf81add5e7a0c5a2c5196bc.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://team6shop.com/images/screenshotsbig/882054164c5cdc47c88686d949d9e8eb.jpg[/img_thumb]
I hope the physics are not so bugged as it was in FlatOut 2 and possibly 1, where you could end up barrelrolling because you hit a damn traffic cone on the ground. God I hated that so much, in FlatOut 2 it was not so punishing, but in 1 it sure as hell is.
The bloom and all that fancy shader crap looks like shit. Most the cones in the game were set to one Restitution number, but Bugbear gave some special cones a higher Restitution number ( more kick ), that could roll your car if you were unlucky enough to hit one. I called these special cones, "killer cones". These "killer" cones had the same look as the normal cones. I found these "killer" cones when I use Pav's track editor for Flatout 1 to move track objects. Hmmm, it took me 5 years to post my first post in the forums. :O
