Hi there.
I'd like to move my server from an old host I'm unhappy with to a new one hopefully in the US. What are some of the best ones out there? I'm looking for hosts with good service and fast servers. Price isn't an issue. I wanted to go with LethalDrive and have been trying to start a server with them but they take ages to reply back to any tickets I make and It's frustrating. I was hoping there was an alternative?
I use Elpis Host, it's great, and the owner has an incredibly fast response time when you need help.

Not long after I made this thread I noticed the other server thread down the page /facepalm. Elpis got a lot of recommendations so I've made sales ticket with them.

What sort of tickets have you been opening? If they're sales/billing tickets, I've been in Sweden at Mojang for the past week or so so my ticket response time has gone down greatly. Generally I answer all the sales/product/billing questions as I know our products best, and I leave the support/plugin/etc tickets to the others. Although, the oldest ticket in our system is 8 hours old.
Bestnode is what I use. No complaints. http://www.beastnode.com/

First response took 18 hours which I replied to within about an hour. Now it's been about 8 hours. Don't you guys want a sale?

Of course, I'm just on a completely different timezone and I've been very busy in Stockholm for the past week or so (I've also been ill up until today). Our normal response times for most tickets (during the day) are within 15-60 minutes. I see that you've already responded to the ticket and gone with Elpis, so it's a shame to lose a sale, but please don't think that's the standard for LethalDrive.
Another factor is that many other hosts hire a whole bunch of teenagers that they can pay for cheap to answer these tickets while they're not in school. LethalDrive is a much, much smaller team consisting of people who live off of our jobs and have actual salaries. It's basically the gameserver equivalent to all those really cheap indian techs you always see at webhost companies. The only difference is that I don't tolerate having such service, even if it means overall slower response time. I'd rather have slow, accurate, helpful responses than a constantly shitty support line.
Even more so, your ticket specifically was marked to me, so that's why it's taken so long to get a response. I've been at Mojang HQ all day and haven't gotten home until roughly 30 minutes ago.
I've been using these guys for a month or two now.

ServerPoint is nice, but expensive. I doubt people want to spend $50 for a 1GB VPS with them when they could get it for $20 with actual Minecraft providers.
Also keep in mind that ServerPoint doesn't actually provide Minecraft servers, just VPS. I haven't seen them posting on MCF so it's pretty likely they will not provide any kind of support related to Minecraft.

They've dealt with all my MC problems before that I had. I wasn't actually on serverpoint in the first place but was with legendary servers and we were transferred over when they merged or something and since the original problems that they fixed I haven't had any issues.
Elpis is where it's at!

I use nfoservers, performance is good and support reply fast. Looks like they been around for awhile, been a customer with them for a year and a half now.

Hmm, looking at Elpis, I can get a server with a twice as much ram than my LethalDrive server for just a little bit more.
I'm convinced. I'll probably switch next month once my LD subscription runs out.

Not all about the RAM! I won't speak for JWJ since I have not used his service directly, but Tyler's (ElpisHost) support is blazing fast, and helpful
