Wake Island 2007 Minecraft map

Right, So here we go:

3 mouths ago I posted *somewhere I forgot now* about my Wake Island 2007 port from BF2 To Minecraft.
I also posted it on reddit:

So now that I finally got round to polishing it off I'm putting it up for download:

The map is available in two versions:

[B]Simple[/B]: Where the land is low allowing you to build tall buildings and there are no tree's or any natural minecraft things. This is the [I]raw[/I] data that has been imported.

[B]Advanced[/B]: Most of you want this version. This version has been paired with minecrafts code to build minecraft features (Tree's, Ore, Water/Lava pockets, Cactus, Reed's) and it allows you to mine down below.

[h2]How to install[/h2]
Press (windows + R)

Then goto ".minecraft"

Then Goto "saves"

Extract the files.

Rename one of the level.dat files like so.

Rename one to just level.dat

Just to clear things up, all the Battlefield references made me believe that people thought the island is fictional. I just wanted to point it out for those who don't know.

After about 9 Hours of posting it has got:

Advanced.zip 61 + 112 = 173
Simple.zip 21 + 105 = 126
Total: 299 Downloads.
Or: 256 mb + 614 mb = 870mb total download bandwidth.

I feel happy now.

Oh and the cartograph got 1,704 hits. Meaning 800mb of bandwidth for one image :v:

I am a huge fan of the Battlefield series and this made a little joy in me come back from the old days of Battlefield 2. Great job!

You could make and customize a multiplayer server using the Minecraft WW2 guns and vehicles mod to reenact how battlefield played it except you would have the theme of Battlefield 1942/1943 in it instead of modern but in my opinion, WW2 themed is better. You would also need to find a team management mod and entity(vehicles) respawning mod.

you should make el alamein as a map
