So as always entered the Ludum Dare Competition in which he had to make a game in 48 hours. This year his entry was Minicraft. Its Minecraft in an even more retro style, its somewhat fun. Check it out here! Controls: Arrow Keys to move, X to open inventory/interact C to use items/punch shit.
I'm desperately trying to find something to complain about But it's so simple I just CAN'T! :v:
It's actually really fun.
Can you build 'up'?
it looks like those games my big brother and i used to play :(
This is surprisingly fun. Can you build walls?
I lagged and then it crashed my browser. Sounds about right.

How do you get iron?, i can't seem to get it from mining rock
Was playing for like 15 minutes, then found stairs, went down and got assraped in 5 seconds
i dont even know how to build :v:
Shovel to get sand, dirt and seeds. Bring a lantern underground. The spiky shit is iron ore. And then I died. Is fun.
How can you build? [editline]19th December 2011[/editline] Interesting fact if you don't know, dig a twice with a shovel on grass/sand (or a single time on dirt) to dig a hole, you can walk through it but monsters cant. [editline]19th December 2011[/editline]
This is more fun than minecraft. I would gladly pay money for this if Notch fleshed it out a bit.
Can someone tell me what this is? I can't break it's walls with my rock pick..
graphics remind me somewhat of pokemon gold
That's a sword, silly.
He was originally going to make it a Harvest Moon game, but then just made it minecraft. :(
Got iron tools then got ganked by two red zombies. PRESS ONWARDS. The underground is crazy yo. Lanterns are too expensive :(
Since the goal of the game is to kill the Air Wizard, I assume that you need really powerful picks to break those rocks, and that that staircase takes you up to the Air Wizard.
Ah well. Pretty cool for a while though.
I got so far. Then I dared to go down the stairs and died in three hits. That's just not fair :(
Here's something I learned: The Pow Glove can be used to pick up furniture. So I just put a lantern down, pull out sword, whack things in cave, pick up lantern again.
Notch should make a 'save' button - or something like that. It's annoying when you just want to stop for a bit..
Tip if you're exploring a cave: Shovels can dig pits in the floor. You can stand in said pits and taunt enemies who can't stand in the pits. You can make trenches for safe walkways through the caves and everything.
Holding the hit key when you're trying to break a tree with your fist is awesome
Has anyone else found gold or gems?
This looks like it belongs on my gameboy color. I kinda wish I could play it on one too.
I'm really surprised how polished it is. Especially for a 48h game.
Apparently gold and gems are found in lower levels of underground. I've yet to find any stairs going down yet :( [editline]20th December 2011[/editline] Well that was shit. I spent like an hour and thirty minutes on level one of the underground, full iron tools, shitloads of lanterns. Couldn't find any damn stairs. It really needed armor or something, the second set of mobs kill you so damn quickly.
