I've heard a lot of people (who got the game early) that the game is shitty, you are not free like the previous games, you just have to complete objectives in a limited zone thats all.
They also said that if you want to kill someone, everybody will chase you after, and will respawn indefinitely until you have completed the mission.
Also if you put someone down, you can't cut him into pieces like the previous game (hehe).
Voilà, if you still want to buy it. :v:
It's 40 bucks if I remember correctly. I think RWS offered a preorder that was redeemable on Steam, and the price is/was set at $40.

it's also on source so it will have a decent modding community to fix these issues.

You shouldn't have to rely on the modding community to fix a game, or make it what it's supposed to be. That's the developers job.
Postal 2 was bashed by critics, but the fudge pack gave me so much enjoyment.
Postal 2 was fun, Postal 3 looks like a shitty Source mod, which is what it is sadly. Doesn't look very good at all - not worth the 40 bucks I say
