Hello Facepunch, I am hoping to find anyone that is playing the game evony, The game is beginning to become a little dry and was hoping to see if there was anyone on this amazing website that's shares my love for this game?

I love how all those games you see in the side ads like this one advertise with stuff like:
"*insert half naked woman* M 18+. Come save me my hero."
"*insert another half naked woman* Become my king today."
And they are energy/time based building games. lol

it's like you can see the disappointment on the face of the guy in the pop-up :v:
The sad part is if you look up most sites without an ad blocker, you see all manner of ads for games like this. A minority of them are simply the "play this game now!" type. Then there are ones where the game in question is "MMO of the year!! - The Institute Of Bullshit Advertisements".
Then of course we have the borderline porn ads, which are usually character art that I am guessing appears nowhere in the actual game, to slightly doctored porn movie boxes to blatantly stealing footage from other "sexy" games and trying to pass it off as footage from game in question. One example took a portion of a cinema from one of the DOA Volleyball games and tried to say "yes, THIS is the game!".

I've started seeing ads for "Forge of Empires" on TV. You can imagine it doesn't have actual gameplay:

Makes me very cynical about pre-rendered trailers for games.

I think this game was once called Civony many years ago. I remember Civony ads, and when Evony started being advertised, the ads for Civony vanished.

I remember an ad for a game I think was called War of the Gods or some such thing and it straight up has a picture of Kratos with Cestus from God of War 3.

Seen something similar as well. I forget the game, but its advertisement used official(and naturally not credited) art from Mabinogi. Funny thing is that it wasn't a "play this sexxxy game now m'lord" type ad, nor was the art used revealing or anything. I get that Mabinogi isn't super well known outside of Japan and Korea, but stealing art from them and apparently trying to pass it off as something you see in their own shit game is just wrong.
