(formerly [I][B]Blacklight 2[/B][/I]) is an upcoming F2P FPS, revealed on 14 January 2011. It is being developed by Zombie Studios and will be published by Perfect World. It will be very similar in style to it's predecessor, Blacklight Tangodown (which actually sucked, so I dunno) in terms of visual style, customization, and gameplay. Two teams have static spawns (none of that MW2 bullshit) and they both try to kill eachother or whatever the objective may be. It takes place in a gritty cyberpunk kind of world. The customization however, is where it really seemed to hit home in BL:TD despite the rest of the game being shitty. You take the "basis" for a weapon: Assault Rifle, SMG, Shotgun, Sniper Rifle, or LMG. And you customize it. Everything from the barrel, to trigger, to stock, to sights. These different parts change up the stats, for instance a shorter barrel allows higher firing rates with less accuracy or something like that. Expect the game sometime during Late 2012, and is currently in [B]Closed Beta[/B].

Played through two or three matches, and I have to say, the customization is pretty extensive. The maps, as far as I've seen, are good and some of the effects (such as going into slowmotion when you've died) are very cool. However it doesn't come without complaints, I can run this game at 50-60fps on my crappy rig (Nvidia 220 GT, woo!) just fine with everything turned up, but I don't want to. The post processing effects and such darken the game and make everything look muddy.
So my temporary verdict? High quality considering it's F2P, it brings some ideas back from BLTD and does them right, and it's just all around a pretty good game. I'll probably play this for a good while.

i think so, i'm downloading it pretty fast too. at 75% after about 15 min of dling (the game is 6 gb)

argh, damnit, this game crashes every 5 fucking seconds. In the intervals I was able to play, animations, sounds, and weapon damage need fixing. Takes a whole mag to kill someone.
Every server just says "Coming soon thank you for being patient." for me.

I can't find where to enter my key. I am fed up with this world!
I had to check my spam folders to find the mail and there was alot of different girls with email subjects like, Kiss you or I wanna meet you. I just delete them instantly :c One of them said she lived nearby. Why the hell would she write in English then?

Just played the tutorial and it seems rather interesting (to me at least). Only thing I noticed is that it's like APB with the weapons tho.
