Nevermind: The Game That Knows What You're Afraid Of
Nevermind is a biofeedback-enhanced adventure horror game that takes you into the dark and twisted world of the subconscious.
As you explore surreal labyrinths and solve the puzzles of the mind, a biofeeback sensor will monitor how scared or stressed you become moment-to-moment. If you let your fears get the best of you, the game will become harder. If you’re able to calm yourself in the face of terror, the game will be more forgiving.
Nevermind strives to create a haunting gameplay experience that also teaches you how to be more aware of your internal responses to stressful situations. If you can learn to control your anxiety within the disturbing realm of Nevermind, just imagine what you can do when it comes to those inevitable stressful moments in the real world...
Although the initial trailer for the game was released in 2012, it looks like the developer is now actively seeking funds to actually produce the game and the hardware necessary to play it through Kickstarter. Here's the video, followed by a gameplay trailer:

I'm stuck somewhere between being super impressed and wanting to play it, and not wanting to play it at all. Imagining something like this on the Oculus Rift with Biofeedback makes me nope all the way back home to my momma.
What do you guys think?
No way in hell am I playing that. looks really interesting though.
Gonna pick this up at wal-mart so i can buy a pack of diapers too

Alright, so here's the thing: The more scared you are, the harder the game gets.
I'd wind up getting stuck in some sort of feedback loop where the game senses me getting more freaked out, so it gets harder, so I freak out more.
Rinse and repeat for living nightmare :v:
which is why this has the potential to be the scariest game ever
they certainly nailed the uncanny valley effect anyways

that doesn't look very good
I really got the impression that this is gonna be a very eerie and creepy atmospheric game, rather than your typical jumpscare which I feel is starting to get common. would be sad to see this not get funded
I don't understand how that biofeedback shit will work, do we have to put something on our head so it can monitor our brain functions? Or is it just based on the shit we do ingame? Because if it's the latter that's alright but kinda crap.

Oh shit, I didn't notice how poorly the Kickstarter was going :/

on your chest, a lot of modern treadmills have them. just a band that reads your pulse rate
hardly looks creepy. looks creative as hell though
would definitely play it just because it's visually so appealing. it'd be like playing through 3d renders from the 90s
