Does Steam suspend alts? - Games

I bought an alt for CSGO 2 days ago, and played it for a pretty long time up until today. Today I tried logging in and got an error (Steam is having trouble connecting to the Steam servers.) Logging into steampowered.com with my alt gives me "Incorrect login." However, I can log into my main account just fine. I thought Steam was fine with alts?

They don't give an everlasting fuck. Is Steamguard on?

They do not suspend alt accounts.

They only ban them if your main account has been terminated.

do you think selling an expensive item on the market before making an alt would be a reason why also i still haven't received the email to reset my password so something is up

Your account is not suspended, if it was it would say instead of incorrect login etc... Try to contact support.

I've got two accounts, five total that log into my PC occasionally I'd say you're safe from the wrath of Valve, but probably not a hacker of some sort. Did you change your password after the heartbleed thing/have the same password for your email? I never checked if Steam accounts were affected because my email is a password that's super-different than everything else I do.

I made my account just two days ago, and it has different info from my email/main account [editline]6th May 2014[/editline] I also didn't receive any emails from Steam despite having SteamGuard

have you tried the usual delete steam.dll, or clientregistry.blob stuff? or re-installed steam? basic things like that. Is it only with your account or is it with any combination of username and passwords? I really doubt it's because of an alt, but if you want to make sure, login on another computer.

It is most likely not an account suspension, I sometimes used to not be able to log into my main account for some reason, but my alt would work just fine, however what fixed it for me was just waiting for it to fix itself, but it took a lot less time than it does with you at the moment.

I used to have the same thing. Deleting ClientRegistry.blob helped me.
