MK:S - is open source.
Hidden - non source code. just a mod. permissions are required.

Well, it's an SVN dump from 2012-11-1, but since there's no history log unless you log into the SVN, they could be old or new.
The version report in source is as such:
Protocol version 14
Exe version 1.0.1.0 (valve)
Exe build: 22:26:41 Sep 2 2009 (3943) (215)
if that helps at all, also looks like their SVN's IP is shared (Or the webmaster has some weird involvement in things), and was lasted updated 2012 (Since it's shared this can mean anything).
Interesting, I don't really want to dig further, but with how dead the dev team looks from afar this is certainly nice to see.

Hidden Source beta 5 is interesting. Definitely one of my favorite multiplayer Source mods, and I think it's still active after all these years.

Yeah, it's still active, but Beta 5 isn't really playable.

My curiosity couldn't really keep me out from looking at all this ingame. The game is in a completely unplayable state as in it's just eye candy heavily dev stages. Theres several new models and a complete change on the art direction within the game from a much more S.W.A.T inspired character models from the late 20th and early 21st to a brand new style that looks much more future like, the closest I could relate it to is of the Mass Effect Universe with the weapons and the Uniforms of the IRIS. Theres a couple of other goodies like tips being added into the loading screen, I believe that you aren't able to play as the hidden and along with there being a couple new voice lines for the hidden in the game files which just include the Hidden spooking you over the IRIS radio. In the customization menu there are even attachments for the weapons as well, I don't think the shotgun works at all in the game however and the weapons are just floating there and have no hands.
Several of the maps have also changed, I haven't looked at them all but one of the more significant ones I noticed was Stalkyard where the vents in the map have been entirely removed along with in one of the outdoor sections a trap that can be activated by the IRIS or hidden. Above you is a giant container held by a magnet, upon destroying the power box that connects it the Container crushes whatever is below it. In this case it was bots.
The game was also updated to the Orange Box Engine as well.

New Uniform along with one of the Several faces that go with it. It kind of looks like it was inspired by the Mass Effect Series and Crysis's Nanosuit. The Hidden knife I just picked up randomly from the map, it has no new model what so ever and does absolutly no damage; it only contains the animations for slashing and pigsticking.

I gotta say though this has been quite the treat for me since the Devs have been silent for so long and the last release was in 2005 or 2006 and I've been playing on and off since then. It's been really nice to know what they've been doing but a bit sad though that I'll probably never see a fully functioning version of the next Hidden since the last post made by the Devs was in 2012, it's been a Mystery solved for me though with so many questions I've had for myself about the development of this game that haven't really been told.

The CStrikePreAlpha is unusable, i managed to fix like 6 errors that closed the game, but i am stuck at "Could not load soundscape_manifest" even though it's there.

I fixed it, i just threw all sound, material and maps files into the Half Life 2 Beta and it works.
Threewave was a capture the flag mod for Quake, made by a guy called Zoid who now works for Valve. I wouldn't be surprised if he'd worked on a new version of it for nostalgia's sake.

Those aren't new. They're in beta 4.
