Gang Beasts is a 4 player local multiplayer (online multiplayer coming soon. Bots being added on Friday) fighting game similar to Sumotori Dreams.
Controls are really simple. There's keys for each arm, and tapping them punches, holding them down grabs.

There's a fairly large patch due out tomorrow that adds AI and two new levels (Ferris Wheel and Incenerator.)

This game is awesome. It's pretty fun just screwing around in the sandbox level.
I saw that game on ModDb a few days ago and it looks fun.
But I can't make it work,it opens and freezes.
Giant Bomb played this on one of their Unprofessional Friday shows.
It was probably the most entertaining game they've played this year, simply fantastic.
The guys making it were in the year above me at University. It's seriously cool seeing them do so well for themselves with it.
where/when did they confirm online MP? not having online was the only thing keeping it from being awesome
in fact theres a hell of a lot of cool multiplayer indie games lately that look fun to play, but theyre all only couch coop for some reason. dont even know why, i would bet any game doing such a thing on steam (or anywhere, really) would make a lot more money if they would have online, or at least garner more interest
but yeah this is looking fun as hell to play, hope for the time being the bots they add arent all that braindead

The developers want to add kicks, knee strikes, elbow strikes and headbutts in the future.
I also asked about melee weapons, and they said that they might add destructible objects with debris that could be picked up and swung around.

It takes some skill to "throw". Make sure you're grabbing the body by the weaker parts (legs).
You should be able to play singleplayer with the other players replaced by AI. I want to fight on the levels like gondola, wheel etc cuz they look liek loads of fun but I have nobody to play it with!
Will this always be free?
I'm guessing not since I heard they're pushing for Steam Greenlight.

You can only desperately cling to life in the hopes that your opponents kill themselves first.
