Still my favorite one in the series.
It was the first one to consolidate the 8 classes from BF2 and before into 4 classes, which streamlined gameplay very well. Titan mode is still a blast because almost no matter what you do, you are contributing to the destruction of the enemy titan. They took quite a few creative liberties because it was set in the future and it turned out very well. Only real issues with the game might be the lag/clipping from the BF2 engine in regards to vehicles and a lack of players overall - there are currently only 8-10 servers with a decent dedicated player base.
Another issue is that BF2142 uses GameSpy for its server browsers, which is shutting down on May 31. However, the guy behind [url=http://www.gameranger.com/]GameRanger[/url] says he's going to provide support for it sometime soon. Not exactly sure what it means for player's stats/unlocks via the EA server, though.
Origin said today they are working to provide support for it once Gamespy shuts down. Don't know if it's through GameRanger though.
Buy it. It's the best vanilla battlefield game, and the last really good one of the series.
if you run a 1920x1080 monitor right clicking the shortcut, then in the target box - ":\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2142\BF2142.exe"
and adding +widescreen 1 at the end
basically the shortcut you made you want this
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 2142 Deluxe\BF2142.exe" +fullscreen 1+widescreen 1
