South Park: The Stick of Truth is a game developed by Obsidian and overlooked by Matt and Trey themselves. It's a turn based RPG. Great effort was made to make the game look like an episode of South Park.

I couldn't find a thread on this game; which is odd considering it comes out Tomorrow, so I'm going to try and make a quick thread before going to work. When I get back home, I'll revise the thread and add more.

They did a good job with the art assets, it's interesting to see an interactive game that looks basically indistinguishable from the show.

Can't wait, I've heard it's basically a 15-hour long South Park episode with tons of easter eggs and such. Sounds fucking awesome, although maybe not "full price of 60 euros" awesome

Apparently people who got it early said it's 30hrs - 50hrs.

I reserved the better edition at Gamestop, whatever it's called, back in October and paid it off with whatever games I had traded in at the time... and I moved in December, and changing my gamestop preorder was not a priority. Am I out $70 now? Can I call the original store and get them to send me my game or credit my money? I doubt this is the case, but can a store that is in a different state use my Gamestop card to see that I've already paid for the game?

Should have just bought it online...

As much as I'm not a fan of what South Park has turned into over the years; I can admire the detail they put into making this game (or what I perceive as detail, I haven't looked too much into it). Hoping they have references to earlier seasons at least.

And of course when I restarted it, now it works. False alarm.

Now to actually play.

So it does look pretty good and the gameplay appears to be fun.

I only played for like half an hour; and haven't even made it past the tutorial yet. I plan on playing a whole bunch tomorrow. I am rolling as a Mage for my first play through; because [sp]I'll save the Jew Class for my second run.[/sp]
