Get hype
well, time to get the new compendium, or will they just update it?
I wonder what plays Dendi'll get up to THIS time?
I'm gonna attend, more than likely. I'm very excited.
I was afraid I couldn't attend due to college starting around august but now it's in July!? Fucking perfect.
I'm so excited, I could die.
I'm so ready. I hope they aren't going to do another "stable roster" thing again, maybe introduce a new hero before it begins.
Hope it isn't a nightmare getting tickets again this year. At least it's not on their shitty dota store that crashes if more than 100 people are using it at once.

They said they're using Ticketmaster. Could be better or worse depending on how you look at it.

There's no chance in hell Liquid is gonna get a direct invite

I think that's just the regional qualifier winner prediction
Damn that's expensive as fuck. General admission is like one night at a cheap hotel.
I'm looking forward to the year of Purple.

You could just book a hostel, for like twenty five bucks a night.

If I were to go, it would end up costing over a grand (airfare + tickets + other expenses) which kinda sucks.
wow this international is goin big if the ticket prices are to be believed (it is april fools after all)

if your smart with item purchases and abuse the grey market your whole trip can be free thanks to the legion of traders who will buy in-game items off you for high prices.
there were people there literally buying 12 packs of steelseries headphones at ti3 because the in-game item costed like 275$ a piece (and the headphone is $80.) I bought cool stuff (t-shirts, mugs, etc.) and sold my lockboxes that came with it for like 50-60$ a piece. the final day of Ti3 they sold those 50$ lockboxes for 10$ apiece at the secret shop.
i dont even know how the hell it was even happening but hey, free money.
seriously play your cards right at the international and its essentially a free trip. not to mention all the fun you get watching the games and meeting the players/voice actors/artists/etc.
then again, they might have things in place to prevent that this year, which will be kinda dumb because i like having rare collectable stuff that can be found only at the international and have some spare cash to burn.
So if I buy a ticket for general admission/floor seating, I'll have access to each day at the international right?
Time to break out the calculator and see how much this would cost me to go.
From the UK the flights alone would probably cost about £1000, not to mention the accommodation/tickets/food - That's a lot of items...
Maybe I'll go and watch it in the pub with Pyrion Flax like last year.
I think they have learned from their mistakes from last years International since they are hosting it at a much bigger venue and are using an external ticketing service instead of directly through the Dota 2 store.
Here's hoping they do the compendium stuff again, i personally liked that concept.

I would think so. It was a good cash grab for them, and a deal for us.
I'm hopefully going to go, gonna cost me quite alot of money but, fuck it.

You know that you can just go to ESL One in Frankfurt and save a lot of money right? A lot of teams that are going to be in Frankfurt will be in Seattle anyway.

I'd like to go but it'd be pretty expensive. 500 for flight, and if I stay a week in the city its 700$, not to mention having an extra few hundred for food and souvenirs.
I'm totally up for going but all my friends have backed down :(
If I was rich i would enjoy stuff like this dammit!
People who are going need to meet up
mainly because im going alone cos im a saddo :~(
