So I have spent time all over trying to find answer, but nobody seems to have it.
Basically I connect to ANY counterstrike server, and even though it says my ping is 60, I jitter every second and am unable to do anything.
Then the game automatically disconnects me and sends me to a new server altogether, repeats this until I get dropped into an empty server, and then starts again. The game at this point is unplayable. The console does not help, net_graph does not give any indication as to why it does this.
Anybody have some kind of fix to the issue?

Considering it's redirecting you to other servers, it sounds like you got slowhacked by joining some shitty fake server. It's a pain in the ass to undo, so I just uninstalled CS 1.6, deleted the folder in my Half-Life folder in steamapps/common, and reinstalled it. That fixed it for me.
Piss. Well that is a great introduction to a game.
I will try that.

And no that did not work.
It turns out after random connecting 15 or 16 times I end up at a Portuguese server with no players.
Will I need to go into somewhere else to delete this configuration?
stop joining servers through the server browser then you dunce, use http://www.game-monitor.com/GameSearch/cstrike/Counter-Strike.html
