I had to format my C drive a couple of day ago and have just started re installing my library. However i have a few games saved on my D and E drives, but i'm not exactly sure how to make steam recognize them. Could anyone give me a hand?
I assume those are Steam Games. Tried to just install them onto those drives? I mean steam would then probably notice there are game files in those directories.
I think res installing and choosing location to install correctly should do the job, it will probably take steam to ~1-5min to check that all the files are in the right place.

I have tried, it just say it can't install anything there as the folders aren't empty.
How much is there? The steamapps folder or just the games? You need the file with the app id. (a number in the url of the store page ) a .acf I think, in the steamapps folder (before common )

The steamlibrary folder, and everything past that meaning steamapps and steam.dll
As far as I can tell, the best way is to just copy - paste the whole steam folder onto the C:// drive. Unless I misunderstood the problem.
In any case, these might help in some way.

if you set up everything the same way it was and then restart steam your games should show up automatically
