- What is Lethal League?
Lethal League is a competitive projectile fighting game where you have to hit an anti-gravity ball into the face of your opponent to win.
The ball speeds up with every strike, up to explosively extreme velocities. Play intense local matches with friends and foes, challenge yourself in the singleplayer mode or battle it out online.
- So it's like dodgeball?
Sort of. High speed dodgeball with a single baseball.
- How many players can I get up in this shit?

Lethal League does have a single player challenge mode, however the real fun is in the 4 player versus and one-on-one modes.
- This seems like a game that requires pinpoint accuracy. Won't lag totally beef the online play?
Lethal League runs on GGPO, so the lag if any is negligible. GGPO also allows you to adjust frame delay. No beefing.
- Does this game feature weak shit?
As the store page on Steam says, it features absolutely "no weak shit."
- How much is this gonna run me?
You can get it on Steam or directly through the Lethal League site for $13.99 USD, as well as 2 and 4 player packs at a discounted price.
Also, in my opinion, it has one of the best visual styles and soundtracks I've seen out of an indie game and just... well, a video game in general. Buy it, I beg of you.

I'll update this OP with more info about the game as I get some experience in and when it's not two in the morning.
Might just buy it for the soundtrack alone, looks like an interesting game. The question is though, how long before I get tired of swinging balls back and forth?
This game is a pure blast to play with four friends.
Definitely worth it. The fact that it also runs on GGPO is also excellent.
It looks extremely fun to play, it is a little pricy though.
So it's essentially taking that part in Zelda games where you bounce a sphere back and forth against Gannon and making a pseudo fighting out of it?
It actually has a lot in common with Windjammers, if you've ever played that game before. Really cool little arcade game.

But Windjammers got boring eventually :(
that and you could catch the frisbee in windjammers. Windjammers was more like a stylized pong whereas this is more focused about knocking your opponent out

So will this.
And literally every game ever.
And literally every thing ever.
Here's a piece of coverage on the title from our favourite cynical Englishman, along with a few matches with friends afterwards.

Candyman is your word of the day.
Oh man this looks awesome. I honestly put this off because the splash image on the steam page made it look like your common greenlit crap, but after watching gameplay it looks amazing. I really hope they have plans to add more characters and maps.

That's what I was noticing when I played it last night, which is probably why I'm so hyped up about this.
A friend bought this for me, so far I'm loving the shit outta this game. Latch represent.

I love Latch as a character design, and I want to play him because his special ability is fuckin' outta control, but I find Switch to be way easier to play even if his ability is a bit harder to pull off.
Candyman fan-art, because Candyman.

Not mine.
That looks pretty great!
Also, I recorded some gameplay for the thread, seeing as the trailer isn't much to go off from. Hope no one minds.

The game is pretty tense and fun, I would definitely recommend buying it if you don't mind the shortage of content. They apparently plan to be adding new characters soon, my hopes would be free.
If you're not sure if you'd like the game, try playing the prototype with a friend.

In the full game of course there's more characters, more maps, more songs, online mode, and challenge mode.
But if you like playing the prototype, the game has much more depth than that but remains really simple to learn.
Instead of just hitting the ball you can also stop it to do a feint and attack again, characters have different angles they shoot at, you have a unique special attack and a unique jumping ability, and you can parry when you're frozen in place at the cost of some of your special bar.
Also the Hud tells you when the ball is gonna start moving again, unlike the prototype.
So there's definitely more to it than you might think. I'm 6 hours in and I'm still learning new techniques. This game is amazing.
I'd love to play this but I dont really feel like shelling out $14 for not a whole lot really :v:
I played this game for 50 minutes and had to put it down.
I was getting too hype. Best $14 I've ever spent
I found out that most people don't know about the block ability. If you are hitting the ball, you can press the parry action. Any person trying to hit the ball then will get stunned.
Edit:
O yea, I heard there will be free characters added in the future. One of the devs just told me.

This is a fighting game, it needs solid mechanics, and quality characters, not shit mechanics and a fuckton of characters where 8 of them are actually played(Mahvel)

which is exactly what it has. I'm hoping that more characters are added because a 5 character (6 if you count unreleased ping pong man) roster is kind of weak. and no weak shit is allowed. maybe 8 or 9 characters, i dunno.
I'm in love with this game. A friend of mine convinced me to buy it last night and it was 100% worth the 14 dollars. It baffles me that some people are on the fence about it, honestly.
Snagged it for $7 by trading keys for it
and then I play it for 3 hours
and this happens

went too fast
there was an announcement earlier today that promised an update concerning desyncs, stability, and crashing, followed later in the week by a content update with a new character and other content.

In the background of the character select screen, you can see the characters' emblems, and there's actually one that doesn't belong to a current character of a Ping Pong paddle and sunglasses.
Not sure whether that's from a scrapped character or an upcoming one, but it's interesting nonetheless.
Well I got the ball speed 1 million achievement
in the challenge mode
well gg wp
