• Average MMR?

What do you think the average MMR is? Going up to like Pro MMR. My solo and party is at 3.2k atm , highest it's been is 3.7k
I'd say MMR average has been getting inflated really heavily since it came out, people are getting better, making new accounts, game is getting easier in general (thanks valve xD) 4000 is probably the average at this point, no offense to people here who are like 1k or whatever

^ That records the MMR from select users who login to the site, so it'll be biased towards the demographic of people who go to MMR sites.
4.5k solo for me, but I think the average is around 3k-3.7k then again, I quite often see people who severely underperform in my games.
4k both solo and party. I should get back into it, haven't properly played ranked in months.

But yeah I agree.
5k solo 5.2k party. I think the majority of the players are at around 2.5-3k MMR and not like 4k at all. I also think that the side which recorded MMR from 7k people in nowhere near a decent source to get an average MMR from. The average unranked MMR was 2250 when ranked got released according to Valve, there is no reason for it to be suddenly 4000 or 3500 or something like that.
3066 solo at the moment, 3200 for party, i ended calibration with 3300. I barely play solo ranked, since it is plain frustrating at times.
I'm 2.4K at the moment. I always thought the average was 3-3.5K?
I heard it depends on your server, EU West and China being stacked more towards the high end.

Remember every time somebody wins a game, somebody else loses mmr. They shouldn't change because there shouldn't be a drift upwards (it's a 0-sum Bayesian rank). According to the valve guy skill ratio of players is pretty much the same across all servers. It's just that EU and China have more players than the other regions and therefore, more high mmr players. US West, for example, is one of the least popular servers in the game.
west coast best coast
I know i only play on USW.
And here's SEA: It's not even peak hours.
I play around 3.2k all the way to low 4k. I gotta say the "Skill Level" is the same across the gap. I see no difference between 3.2k and 3.8-4k
"Average going up to pro" Average is ~3k, pros mostly are around 5k mmr upwards I honestly warrant not counting users below 2k because a majority of them are extremely cadual players that just use the ranked option out of curiousity cause they hit level 13 in dota
Indeed this, and to answer to Minimal, yes the skill level doesn't change from 3k to 3,7-3,8 k because thats the swing the average player has. From 4k onward you will usually see better than average players but onward of 5k you will only find pro players. As you can see the gap from 3k to 4k is way smaller than 4k to 5k.
2.1k, and has been fluxing around that. I know I'm not expecting myself to be 4k+, but getting drafted with SEA players in an AU region sure as hell doesn't help.
i dont understand how people can complain about GETTING MATCHED WITH PEOPLE ON SERVERS WHILE PLAYING A GAME its not like nobody else gets matched with and against x, not to mention that its not like the bad players/foreigners/feeders/x/y are always on your team, theyre on the enemy team too every now and then, so roll with the fucking punches if i can get from 3.3k to 4k, you can do it
Well, at least they could keep their fucking language to themselves and not demand me to speak it and reply with insults if I refuse I mean, I'm Italian and I queue on US East because I got fed up with the Russians, but I don't go on those servers and shove my Italian language down everyone's throat. Not even if there are other Italians around (and if they start talking to me in Italian, I urge them to use English instead)
I'm 2.6 and I know everyone says this but I feel I should be higher. After playing with 4k's unranked for awhile you can fucking feel the difference back "home" it's legitimate suffering now.
why do you deliberately piss people off its really epic
i was actually serious and its not my fault everyone got offended or whatever
No, Nmagain is wrong. When you say the average is 4k, then that means about 50% of the players are 4k+.
Which is retarded and impossible because when ranked match making was introduced average mmr was ~2.3k and 4100+ was the 99th percentile. [editline]2nd November 2014[/editline] my automerge... [editline]2nd November 2014[/editline]
Players at 1k dont count because they dont fucking play the game Youre not a chef if you step into a kitchen and pour pancake mix on a stove
We are talking about the average mmr of all dota 2 players, not tryhards. Are we talking about average mmr of tryhards? Then according to EE, anybody below 5.5k mmr is so bad that they should never play ranked ever again. Also, you're wrong. There are plenty of people that are still 2-2.5k after playing thousands of games. Hell, we have shit loads of career 2k mmr players here on facepunch.
Makes me laugh when terrible players in 4k think the rest of their team is at like 2k when that's not even remotely close to how it works. Even better if the rest of the team has higher mmr than them
