I have about 5 friends that play minecraft with me, and we build alot of things = lag, I currently host from my crappy pc, What is the best server host for about 150 mods no lag, Australia, who do you use? I also have heard of like a VPS or something where you can buy a virtual computer and host of it, and it's really good but expensive?
150 mods? You're going to need a seriously beefy machine for that. VPS is the way to go I feel.

I remember when I hosted New Ventlegille on a 1.5Mbps down/.5Mbps up connection, wireless, and if people logged in and just waited a minute while the chunks loaded, it wouldn't lag for them.

Regular SSD MC Hosting works fine for this. I ran 300 modpacks off a company dedicated server with no issues. However Australian hosters have some steep prices.

The drawback is that you are responsible for your own support. Though with that many mods, I have no idea how willing any generic host would be willing to deal with you.
Hey man, I'm in a good mood. If you want, I'll throw you up on one of our independent machines? Pm me.
