Shit! I forgot Age of Wonders III comes out tomorrow, I have no money to throw at it.
Hyped. Remember, you can interrupt the orcish industrial revolution with goblin crusaders. Buy this game NOW.
The original game was just the complete shit. The soundtrack is simply beautiful, seriously, just listen to it. When I'm bored I just sit down and play the music, and when I play grand strategy games I like to me the game music anf play the AoW soundtrack instead.
AoW3 is out!
AoW3 is out!
While it may be a small download it feels like one of the longest possible, been waiting for this for far too long.

Longest 20 minutes of my life.
How is it? For the love of good please make it better than the second.
It's amazing.
I've never played an AoM games before, but I'm thinking about buying this. Would you suggest it?
I might just wait for TotalBiscut's WTF is...
This game is amazing. If you're trying to decide to buy it or not, buy it. I loved AoW 2, it's what got me in to 4X games back in the day(Even though it's considered a black sheep of the series) I'm loving Age of Wonders 3.
If you don't know anything about Age of Wonders it's a mix of Civilization, HoMM(Before it got bad) and X-COM all mixed in to one. Put about 3 hours so far in to the game and I'm loving it.
I fucking love Age of Wonders, I really wonder if this is going to live up to the previous games though.
I'm a little surprised this isn't more popular.
I was just wondering why AoW didn't have a thread.
Anyway, I really like AoW 3 so far, it just feels so alive and well made. That's just a first impression though.
What a shame that this game isn't getting more attention.
I saw a video on youtube and it looked quite interesting. I love the Civ games and RPGs and this looks like a nice combo from what i could see. I've never played the previous games tho.
I loved AoW back in the day. I guess I dismissed this one since the day it was announced, because I didn't want to be disappointed.
Has it been out long enough for a real review?

RPS did a review with some review code they got about a week back, generally positive. I'm sure there are others.
I've not played any of the AoW games before, but I'm having a blast with this one.
As a long time fan, everything seems to work well. The only thing I dislike Is that factions no longer have completely unique units. I mean I know Orc angels are a selling point at all but the units get bland when every race has one.
This game seems really great, I don't know if I'm just bad at it though but it seems really hard to me, I often get my ass kicked.
I thought I may have a fighting chance since I'm a Fallen Enchantress Veteran.
It's a very good game... but the weird thing is I keep finding things that I preferred the way Fallen Enchantress did. Not that AoW3 is necessarily doing it "wrong", just... my preferences.
I'm so bad at the battles, even in lower difficulty i'm getting my ass kicked at times. Any tips? :v:

I find myself constantly thinking with FE logic and experience, I have lost so many battles because I keep thinking units lose attacking strength when there are less men in the squad. That shit doesn't go in AoW apparantly

I do the same, then proceed to getting absolutely demolished.
I'm currently watching TB's video of AoW 3 and this looks like my dream strategy game, simply perfect. I cannot believe I haven't heard of this game before
Oh man, I have to buy this asap

Hardcore RPG elements in a 4X game. Yes please. Wonder if TB enjoyed AoW 3 considering there's no Field of View sliders :v:
I just bought Age of Wonders 3 out of no where, never heard of the series before. Mainly bought it because I saw it labelled as 4X and the only other 4X games I've played are SotS and SotS2. Not sat down to learn it and play a proper game though since I assume it's going to take a while.
I really hope they patch in pre-battle deployment soon though,
It sucks to have half your army being useless for half the battle because they start on the other side of the battlefield.
Also straight line with my casters/archers in front why did they do this
Is there a tutorial mode, or is it just the campaigns? It felt like the game threw me in a little too fast, even though a lot of it plays like Civ.
I just used Unicorns for the first time. Best thing is their descriptions, just tons of MLP references :v:
I really like how many references they shoved in this one, though I liked the original AoW unit interface a lot more. Seemed much more informative.
Also, have we heard anything about mods yet? I know the map editor is coming.
