Shamelessly stolen from Wikipedia:
Hotline Miami is a 2D top-down action video game by Dennaton Games, a team composed of Jonatan Söderström and Dennis Wedin, who had previously collaborated on Keyboard Drumset Fucking Werewolf. The game is being published by Devolver Digital and was released on 23 October 2012 for Windows. The game has been described by Eurogamer as "a top-down fuck-'em-up", blending top down perspective with stealth, extreme violence and surreal storytelling, along with a soundtrack and visuals influenced by 1980s culture. The game itself was heavily influenced by Nicolas Winding Refn's neo-noir crime drama film Drive (2011); the director is specifically thanked in the credits. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hotline_Miami
Gameplay mechanics are straight-on easy to learn and adapt to, giving this game a great replayability. There are modifying itens like Masks, many different Enemies and Weapons. Did I say that the Soundtrack is FUCKING AWESOME? This game is incrediby awesome, lots of FP'ers and I recommend it to you! Go buy and play it right now, because your girlfriend is in trouble! Also your phone has some new messages. http://store.steampowered.com/app/219150/
God damn it I need this game, but I heard there were some display problems. How has post-release support been?
Oh wow, I thought I was just a little reminded of Drive's opening when I listened to Miami all the way through... but it syncs up with the opening credits perfectly, even the titles popping up.
God damn it I need this game, but I heard there were some display problems. How has post-release support been?
I haven't experienced any problems with the display personally, but the game's totally worth the dosh.
God damn it I need this game, but I heard there were some display problems. How has post-release support been?
The only problem I've found is that if you have multiple monitors, you can accidentally click outside of the game window and minimize it because the game doesn't actually lock the cursor to the screen. Other than that I've had no issues.
The soundtrack for this game is great. The game is great too but it's one of the few video game soundtracks that I listen to outside of the game.

fuck it, go full gta 2 with the sequel.

Finally finished it the other day That bonus level is such a fucking bitch
I love it when you get lucky and instead of a guy smashing your face in, you manage to get him following you around in a tiny little circle. Usually a sigh of relief follows.
I've determined that if you want a high-score, it usually comes down to the panther mask or drill. The combo window mask was nice, but the speed bonus from the other mask can basically replace that plus give you a time bonus. If you don't want too fast pace, the drill works if you don't have to take on more than two guys since the finishing move takes so long, but gives tons of points.

I don't care what anyone says, the suppressed pistol makes busting into a room a thousand times more badass as you gun everyone inside down.

I hope the sequel adds co-op.
I hope the sequel adds co-op.
Co-op with friendly fire would be funny as fuck.
Hotline Miami is coming the PS3 and Vita
Co-op with friendly fire would be funny as fuck.
I think it would make quite an awesome Deathmatch experience, Like a level with 5 players in it shooting and slamming eachother.
I wonder how they ported a GameMaker game to PS3 and Vita. If it's a total remake i would like to have it over the buggy shit it is right now. Hopefully Hotline Miami 2 will not commit the same mistake :3
As much as I like this game, there isn't much to do once you've got all the masks and secret letters. There's no reward for getting A+'s on all levels, so I don't have any incentive to return to it. Was fun while it lasted though.
Article regarding Hotline Miami 2 Was just posted in the news section. Posting it here for the sake of discussion and because it's obviously relevant.
Fun game, however is very easy to rage-quit in.

Btw people,Hotline miami 2 have is own engine (Hotline miami 1 use gamemaker because they didnt have time to make their own aswell, they made HM1 in 6 month in GAMEMAKER 7,that why's it was buggy. Oh,and i'd like to add that if you got any pro version of GAMEMAKER 7 you can add news level or custom levels or even add sprites to it. Thank to me.) Probable release date : 10 march.
