Mastered Reflex Sight few days ago, it's easier to do Longshots with pistols or shotguns.
My MTAR is close to Gold, but I'm having problems with Longshots now.

I got gold on my mtar yesterday as well as the smaw. As soon as I heard enemy dragonfire inbound I shit my pants.
Speaking of SMAW, I just hit Weapon Prestige 1 few days ago.
It feels like it's taking too long to master a bunch of guns. I'm on Prestige 4, but I mastered only 4 weapons so far.
Just finished the story yesterday. Have to say I was actually fucking impressed, had really low expectations that were blown out of the water.

The long shots are always a bitch to get with ARs... I think it's always the last challenge I unlocked, and the only for which I had to actually try. I don't know what the distance is, but it seems ridiculous... And I almost feel that it varies with the maps sometimes.

I got the dragonfire almost as soon as I unlocked the challenges, but I still need all the double kills and half the impact kills...
I think I'm going to play Hardpoint or Headquarters for those :v:

[/QUOTE]I've seen maybe 6 dragonfires since I started playing. I saw one while I had the challenge but my team shot it down with bullets. My team was getting shit on and spawned camped during one demolition game when it was called in and shooting it down made the whole game worth it.
Also hardpoint is the fucking shit, I'm so glad they added it.
Add Call of duty: united offensive to the OP, best CoD in my opinion!

You get pissed off at someone using a setup that requires no skill at all, so you get a >6 ratio with a weapon that actually requires skill?

Still working on my smaw too. It's the last launcher I need for diamond and I'm not looking forward to those challenges after the first set. I hardly ever see dragonfires.

Actually I'd say the KSG doesn't require as much skill as it seems. It's a really easy gun to use when paired with long barrel. Should probably add that I was apparently reported a couple times because a bunch of them thought I was aimbotting [I was in a party, got angry left and rejoined with my KSG class and they were talking about me iirc]

Well out of the shotguns it's the only one with which you have to aim your shots, so there's that.

It does make a noticeable difference if you tend to run around a lot (I know I do, and so do most people, because fuck walking to the action).
It halves (iirc) the time between which you stop sprinting and you can fire again. It makes no visual difference so it's not easy to tell at first, but try it in a custom game, with and without dexterity. You can fire a lot sooner after sprinting and it may very well save your ass a few times per game.
Plus the fact that you can mantle over things without being blocked with no weapon for 10 seconds is invaluable at times. You learn not to mantle too much when you're not using it, but it makes things that little bit harder.
Overall it's one of the best tier 3 perks, along with Tac Mask and Extreme Conditioning. There's no real reason not to use it if you can spare the points.
I don't use it on a few classes but it's only if I plan to either not move at all (LMGs) or flank (I use tac mask and extreme conditioning, and try to take the enemy by surprise - no need to fire faster if they don't know you're here). If you're rushing headlong into the enemy you have to have it basically.

it makes quite a difference if you sprint a lot, it basically makes your gun ready instantaneously after you stop sprinting

Good weapons:
MSMC with fast mags
PDW with whatever
Use a silencer eventually (for flanking)
Perks:
Lightweight, Dexterity, Tactical mask, Ghost eventually (for flanking)
Tac insert it a pretty cool thing, try it out if you haven't
