How is possible that Alien: Isolation got left out of the GoTY category? The game, IMO, has helped to redefine the horror action genre and single handedly saved the Aliens game franchise from complete disrepair.

Angry Joe is very intelligent when it comes to picking apart games flaws, but instead of just doing as much he offers a lot of really good constructive criticism and ideas in reply that make a lot of sense. Spoony, while maybe not as gifted as Joe when it comes to offering up new and better ideas, has the passion and dedication to games that has earned me his respect forever. His review of the Ultima series is unmatched and was probably the defining factor in Sir Garriot inviting him to his house for a one on one interview.

The Xeno's AI was very innovative in that it was very unpredictable and was not bound by any type of pathway system or scripting outside of the cut scenes of course.

Sounds like this is gonna be like an actual awards show. Unlike spikes spectacular fail last year.

Televised video game awards always feel like giant advertisements to me, and I doubt this one will be any different. I'll probably always prefer the /v/GAs because in addition to voting on "awards" they also highlight some of the year's biggest fuck-ups. Something you'd never see in the more "official" award shows
