[u][b]What is Defense of the Ancients 2?[/b][/u]
[b]D[/b]efence of the Ancients is the original map that created the "Action RTS" (ARTS) genre. [b]I[/b]t started as a map modification in Warcraft III and is now being made into it's own game with Valve using the Source engine. [b]I[/b]n short, it's a session based, Player vs. Player RPG. [b]T[/b]en people play on two teams of five and each person controls a hero of various ability, utility and strength. [b]A[/b]s you play in a game your hero will level up, you will gain gold, you'll kill opposing heroes and buy items to become stronger. [b]T[/b]he ultimate objective is to kill the enemies main structure in the back of their base. [b]T[/b]his takes teamwork and coordination, not something you can do by yourself as the base is also protected by AI controlled creeps that constantly spawn to defend it and towers meant to hold you back. [b]M[/b]atches take anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and when you're finished and start a new game, you pick a new hero and start all over. [b]N[/b]othing is persistent when it comes to something that can affect each game. [b]T[/b]hat sounds simple in description but what has kept people playing it for years now are the complexities of the game.

a rough texture for pit lord will be added then next week a portrait and some less rough textures and then pitlord will be released the week after

How does matchmaking work? If i que with friends will i meet other duos or trios? Do 5 mans only go against 5 mans?
5 mans are generally attempted to be matched against 5mans, but other than that I think it's just average mmr of party will be matched with another group of average mmrs

since most of the time im playing 2man with a friend, i can say that 2 man parties get matched with and against other 2man parties A LOT

I am having one of the most unfun games I have ever had, we had a meh trilane so they decide THE ONLY WAY TO DEFEAT IT IS TO FIVE MAN THE ENTIRE GAME. It was so clowny and ruined the entire game for us.
