Community Roleplay Server - Games

I've always thought the Ancient World was neat, but the only thing setting it back was Drak constantly doing the age (more like ages) of darkness and Nether storms that were commonly aimed at groups of players he disliked. I'm not sure what kind of events I've got planned right now, I've got a lot of things on the table I can choose from. Using the rest of their mana, the survivors of the war opened a portal to another settle a neighboring planet, where magic was prohibited. To ensure their Arcane knowledge was forgotten, the survivors wrote no records of these events. You (the player) have been sent by present day scientists to reclaim this world from the wild. It is up to you and the other descendants to reclaim your place in your homeworld. I'd like to join on this server; seems like a lot of fun and a good map. I've never done an RP game before though. Should I come up with a backstory and share it here, or should I wait until the game gets going and share a little bit at a time? IGN is Segasaturn95.

In that case, I'll be playing the role of an anthropologist/archeologist. My goal is to learn as much as possible about the land and its former inhabitants, as well as to map out the locations of any surviving ruins.

IGN 9845 Is there a particular era this is taking place in, or is it the preference of the player and the town they're in?

IGN is Skittles, this would be a delightful change of pace.

I updated spawn so there's a bit of protection when you log in the first time; Playing for the first time at night should be too bad now. There is a small farm, don't forget to replant.

So I broke my own rule and installed X-ray to check ore distribution. For some reason, there are no caves and ores are extremely sparse. I'm going I bring down the aerver soon and bring it up with a new map.

This is really cool. I'll start posting more so maybe I can join. I'm a huge fan of relaxed roleplay servers. I want to complement you on the map, (drawing and physical map) It's really impressive. I've fallen out of minecraft but this might bring me back in. What are the limitations on characters? No magic? (Also, I might donate)
