Isn't this the game that's made by the people that did StarForge, the GOTYAY?

Yeah, CodeHatch. We're all hoping they don't fuck up this time.
side note, can't seem to edit the OP to fix my stupid errors.
I've played it for a bit. Seems pretty good so far. Bit of server issues but to be expected really.
The formatting in this thread though is awful.
For those who don't want to read the sprawling bold text, this video covers everything about the game in about 5 minutes:

It looks so weird.
-snip- my browser is being stupid today
Can I point out how hilariously retarded the name of the game is?
"Reign of the Kings"
Like, that's what Kings usually do? Reign over things? Otherwise they kinda aren't kings? How redundant is that?
It's like if you called Tony Hawk "Ollies of Skaters" or CoD "Shooting of Soldiers" or some motosport game "Racing of Cars"
How devoid of imagination do you have to be to consider that as a name for an actual product you are attempting to market?

Talk about judging a book by its cover.
The game definitely looks like it's another "hunt, fight, build, survive" type from that video though. Although it appeared slightly glitchy I'm definitely digging that combat

I am not judging a book for it's cover tho? I am judging the cover for what it is?
Just bought it. Hopefully it was worth the risk.
Like Starforge, at first it's going to be nice and funny. And like everybody loves to says in reviews "TONS OF POTENTIAL".
Prepare to be disappointed.
considering their past I absolutely cannot trust this
it looks cool, but unless I see serious results I can't trust it.
I really need a medieval game to replace my dark souls tier lust for virtual murder

to be honest though, i own and was pretty pissed about starforge as well, which made me unsure about buying it. but imo, the current game right now is worth the money. it's has a hell of a lot more replay value than starforge, and they're actually responding to the community as well as community requests.

I'd still rather wait until JUST before release
for all I know they're going to outright stop caring and break the game, or it could be a space engineers tier top seller across the board and they've learned their lesson.

for the love of god though let this be solid through and through
This game is hilarious, and great fun, and there's tonnes to do, but god damn the random crippling lagspikes.
I'll be running the game fine, but then all of a sudden it'll jutter unless I close the game and restart it. Ridiculous.

This is a BILLION times better than Starforge already. Even if the game never updates again, I'd say it's not the worst thing ever.
they doing another early access? i'll pass.

Yeah, there's really quite a lot to do already.
That said there has been 3 updates in the last few days so they're off to a good start.
Multiplayer Only, get fucked, I'm sick of multiplayer only games like this.
Had loads of fun in my 10 hours of play yesterday. Capturing people and executing them is fun. I definitely think anybody that's been looking at it should buy it. There are these little lag spikes I get every bit, but that's okay, because if I remember right, I read that next week the devs are going to work on optimization and performance.
I was doing really well, and I was killing wolves easily with my starter hammer, javelins and wooden helmet and chest piece.
But then all of a sudden, with a sick fucking inventory full of good resources, I come across one wolf who absolutely wrecked my shit. I kept sticking with the fight, thinking I'd kill him any time soon, but he demolished me and I died. Was kinda butthurt I lost all my stuff. The fuck was up with that one wolf? I usually handle fights with them easily but this guy just would not die, and was hitting me for loads of damage.
On a server called Fuck the King, me and my guild (8 of us with iron and steel armor / melee) had to fend off the rest of the server, which was about 20 other players. The admins, king, and lesser-powered players all banded up against us because we were enslaving, robbing, and murdering people. We also made threats towards the King.
Well, worse came to worse, and now the server had 2 trebuchets lined up and aimed at our castle. They fired, ripping out several chunks of our walls, allowing them to flood in and attack. To our luck and power, we were able to fend them off, slaying all of the invaders valiantly and honorably. With no casualties and no serious losses to our fortifications, we quickly rebuilt our structures, and hunkered down.
A second attack was lead by the King and admins once again, but with our strong floodgates we were able to trap them and slay them like the vermin they were. After the remaining enemies fled for their lives, we took any prisoners of war, and took their heads. Some how, some way.. we did it. We repelled the barbaric attacks. And to this day we still roam these lands, acting as bandits and outlaws.
May I join you guys?
May I join you guys?
Yeah. Pretty much the entire guild's offline for the night though. I'm the only American. Add me on Steam.
I love the loading screen image.

i want a racing ssim called racing of cars, and have it be poorly translated from welsh or sometihng now...
The main problem I have of this game from my 15 hours of gameplay so far is that the movement and combat in general are just plain awful due to the constant teleporting of other players. Often times, even 1 on 1 fights become impossible-to-reliably-hit-the-enemy lag-fests. Attempting to fight with a friend in even a 2 on 1 fight commonly results in hitting one-another amidst the chaos. In one particularly aggravating case, me and my two other friends were being bothered by two players who just ran up and started attacking us. Despite having better equipment, it took us several minutes to kill both due to the laggy combat. It took them five minutes to walk back and start annoying us again.
Perhaps I've just been screwed with getting stuck on bad servers, but it seems to be a rather common trend at the moment.
Despite all the lag, the game is surprisingly fun. I've had my share of fun in the character creator alone along with the core game. There are a few annoying bugs but I'm sure they will be squashed soon enough.
Hackers are present; in my 15 hours, I've encountered two speedhackers.
The blood and gore is either really poorly made or is just too cartoon-ey in general. Otherwise, the combat looks pretty fun.
Now speaking about the developers, It's kind of bullshit for the people who bought starforge to know that their money is pretty much wasted. At least change the price of starforge to like $5 or something? Nah.
I wouldn't give them money for early access games. They should have made enough from their first cashgrab to fund them for a while.
This seems like a cool game. I'll be keeping an eye on it; I want to get it eventually, but not for $20. Is it worth that at the moment?
