Beta Info/times and dates The Battlefield 4 beta officially starts on October 1 for those who have pre-ordered the game or have BF3 Premium. For everyone else, it starts a few days later, on October 4. The beta will be online for a total of two weeks. Beta start: October 1 (closed), October 4 (open) Beta end: October 15 Pre-loads on PCs via Origin on September 29 Beta platforms and download size The beta will be available on current generation consoles, and on the PC. On consoles, the beta will take up 1.6 GB of disk space, while the PC beta will be much larger — over 3.5 times larger at 6 GB. PS3 and Xbox 360: 1.6 GB download (PSN/Xbox Live) PC: 6 GB download via Origin Note that the Battlefield 4 beta on PC will require a 64-bit operating system. Beta maps and game modes The beta will feature one map: Siege of Shanghai, and will include two game modes: Conquest and Domination. Conquest is the tried and tested game mode, while Domination is a more intense, infantry-focused mode. Battlefield 4 beta servers on the Xbox 360 and PS3 will be run by DICE/EA, while a number of third party providers will offer beta servers for PC gamers. The server providers include long time EA partners such as I3D, Hypernia, Multiplay, and many others. After the beta concludes, DICE will have roughly two weeks to gather all the feedback and patch up any bugs and bring any tweaks. These will be released as a patch, as the game will likely already have gone gold by the time the beta concludes. Holy crap. Put that BF4 into [ t ] [ / t ] brackets ! You have lit on fire wooden modem at my work, due to size of the picture! RIP tablet/phone users !
Do you guys think the new AMD cards will be as good with BF4 as they advertize? I'm buying a new rig soon, and I'm not sure if I'm going to wait for the new AMD cards or get a GTX 680.
what a terrible op

This is NOT the place to talk about Battlefield 3, it's expansions or Battlefield 4. Go here to talk about those.
Good job.
Yeah, checking the threads name is sure a hard thing.
Older Battlefields Megathread V1

Yeah, checking the threads name is sure a hard thing.
I don't see what the fuck that has to do with Battlefield 4? When this entire thread is about Battlefield 4, and you post a link to a thread about the older battlefields? Edit: Oh i get it, you were trying to prove to me that he can make a better OP about the older battlefields when it has nothing to do with Battlefield 4
use this thread...... http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1262527
Do it better yourself?
i think you need a bigger header image im having a tough time telling what game this thread is about

Get the official banners posted for each map with a description of the map below it (forgot where they are, you can find them somewhere) Get more shit describing the game and the Beta Bold the bit that says "64-bit Operating System" Remove the wall of text by spacing it out Remove the broken formatting Remove the giant fucking banner at the top. You've been here for 6 years man, you should know how to make good OPs by now. [editline]30th September 2013[/editline] Also, just merge the fucking threads into one already. Older Battlefields is completely dead and Battlefield 3 will be dead too.
The op will get updated just getting the info down for the time being, the important stuff is there (and that heading turned out to be bigger than expected lol) just calm down and I will fix the OP up.
Snip
i think you need a bigger header image im having a tough time telling what game this thread is about
He didn't make it..:downs:
Battlefield 4 has a Wireguided RPG like the AT4 from Bad Company 2. All has been forgiven, DICE.
More like wire guided SRAW like the SRAW of bf2. Low drag high speed guided low damage missile.
use this thread...... http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1262527
OK. I know the OP is terrible but in all fairness, BF3 =/= BF4. [editline]30th September 2013[/editline] Please fix the OP though.
Battlefield 4 has a Wireguided RPG like the AT4 from Bad Company 2. All has been forgiven, DICE.
Have they upped the speed of RPG's yet? Annoyed me how slow they were. I know it's because of balancing, but after being in the army and seeing RPG's for real. It just feels weird to see these super slow rockets.
They seemed to be faster in the BF4 gameplay we've seen so far. Almost twice as fast.
They seemed to be faster in the BF4 gameplay we've seen so far. Almost twice as fast.
Awesome. They already have the RPG sounds pretty much spot on, so the added speed is a nice touch.

For people with nvidia gpu's: you might wanna check the lastest beta driver build (331.40) released by Nvidia. Just sayin'...
