If you already bought the game, you can skip past the screenshots for the FAQ and music covers section. Otherwise: [B]WHAT IS UNDERTALE:[/B] An indie RPG made pretty much by one guy over a span of 3 years. It features multiple styles of play based on player choice, with the main gimmick being that you don't have to actually kill anyone like you would in any normal RPG. You can just talk your way out of fights. The fights themselves are turned based ofc, but for defending against an attack, the game switches over to a style of play similar to a bullet hell type game where you have to avoid enemy attacks while controlling a tiny heart. [B]WHAT SETS IT APART FROM OTHER RPG's:[/B] Extreme player freedom to do and say pretty much whatever, an incredible soundtrack, great humor, well written story and characters, a shit ton of secrets and hidden jokes, and a game that can change drastically based on how you're playing: Kill everyone or spare everyone. [B]WHAT'S IT ABOUT:[/B] You control a little kid that falls into an undergound city of monsters. You're trying to escape. That's the basic premise. [B]WHY SHOULD I PLAY IT: [/B]it currently has a 95 on metacritic, a 98% on steam reviews, and only costs $10. But thanks to steam refund system, you can just buy it, try the game out for like 90 minutes, then refund it if you don't like it. Explain plZ A: YeS. You can either just do whatever and kill some people and spare others, which will get you a mediocre ending, or you can go for one of the true routes: Either spare everyone, or kill evERYONE. For pacifist mode, just never let your LV go over 1 (and don't skip the water cooler), and for genocide, you need to wipe out all the random encounters in each main area of the game (save points will give you a counter of how many are left, tho maybe only after you leave the ruins) Q: I hear the game is a tumblr-esque game and I should stay away??? A: As with anything that becomes popular suddenly and isn't a AAA game everyone was expecting, there's lots of people out there crying over how it's getting more attention than other, more well known games. This inevitably leads to them coming up with weird excuses for why people shouldn't play it. Just ignore them and make up your own opinions lmao. Q: I just beat Pacifist. I'm not sure I want to do Genocide. Why should I? A: Genocide mode is basically the dark half of the Undertale story. It has the most absolutely difficult boss fights in the game, new music, and the finale explains a LOT more of the plot. If you want a challenge and want to learn more about the story, do it. Okay, current progress, all of Sans armours are done, I've begun working on Papyrus, Toriel will follow after as the character I'm modding Papyrus over only has one armour so he shouldn't take too long. Gotta say I was unconvinced about this game after watching some people play the first hour or two before buying it (had no idea there was a demo). However I finished it today and I gotta say I'm impressed. Without spoiling anything I'll just say I love games that realize they're games and play on that fact, and Undertale does that really well. 10 hours for 10 euro ain't a bad deal either.

Don't do Genocide.[/QUOTE] Personally I feel like Genocide is worth it just to get more perspective on the characters [sp]along with the kicking rad boss fights.[/sp] I know the game makes you feel like crap for doing it, but I kind of like the contrast it gives to the True Pacifist route. That being said, it's certainly not for everyone and some of the stuff you have to do on that route really sucks.
