Hi. This is not a game thread or anything like that. Some of you must have played some game(s), ages ago, that you remember some details of but not the name(s). This is a thread to see if other forum members can help you get reacquainted with said game(s). Allow me to start. 1. So, this was around the year 2000, definitely before 2004, probably between 1999 and 2002. It was a PC game. You would always drive an armored vehicle, a tank, and the setting was apparently not Earth, but some other (kinda barren, and blue-ish?) planet. It took place at night (at least it looked like night, that could be because it was in other planet). The design of the tanks was kinda futuristic, but not too much. If I'm not mistaken, other tanks would appear and you could attack them. I think the perspective was like 3rd person, but just above the tank, and close to the ground. I don't remember it having any intro. ||| This is Thunder Brigade (1998). Thanks Blind Weasel! 2. There's this other PC game, from the Olympics, but it's not any of these https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Olympic_video_games From what I remember, the graphics looked like mid 90s. I think for most of the available sports (not many) the camera was almost always static or would move in a very rigid fashion. I think it was called Summer Games (it was not the one from the 80s) or Summer something. ||| This is The Games: Summer Challenge (1992). 3. Finally, a Playstation game, I'm 90% certain it was PS1. It was a 3rd person shooter and it had a co-op mode. I believe your characters were cops. The first level started just outside a building that you had to storm, it was a bank robbery or a hostage situation or both, at night. ||| This is Fighting Force (1997). Thanks Serial_! I've googled all of this before, but no luck. I've rediscovered Motocross Madness 2 and Road Rash on my own, but these are being too tough. Thank you guys!
There's this one game by robot loves kitty, it was kind of a blocky game where you can build things and it was a bit like Minecraft I think. That's honestly all I can remember.

It certainly sounds like the first level of that at least, but FF was a fighter more than a shooter.
Maybe Fighting Force? It certainly sounds like the first level of that at least, but FF was a fighter more than a shooter.
That's it! Amazing, thank you! And yeah, you are right, it's not a shooter, looks more like Streets of Rage 3D. Game 2 is The Games: Summer Challenge (from 1992), some guy helped me somewhere else, I'll update the OP with the info. As for the tank game, it's not Hostile Waters: Antaeus Rising, Battlezone 2 or Incoming. It's also not Recoil or 3D Power Tank. Additional info: the action took place close to the ground and at night. The tanks were futuristic, but just barely, not like those in Battlezone 2. You jumped right into gameplay, with no intros. I THINK. It might have been a demo or something...
this? http://robotloveskitty.com/tinyplumbers/
That isn't it. Luckily I just found out what the game is. It's Neverdaunt 8-bit. Thanks though!
was it arcadey, like picking up powerups and having different modes like ctf race and deathmatch? if so the only one that comes to mind is treadmarks.
No, it wasn't that either. From what I remember, the graphics were better. And I don't remember it having any special modes, I just recall it starting right away, with you controlling a tank at night in some other planet.
Help? It's the only "major" game I played during my childhood from which I can't remember the name.

Not necessarily a game but more like a 3D physics demo. Everything was in this gray color and you could drive around cars into walls and break the bricks apart. It was really cool.
Assault Rigs maybe?
No man, but thanks! [sp]also having done further research it turns out it was made by estonian developers, which i really didnt expect :v[/sp]
There's already this thread
A game with giant bees hornets wasps, you are in a hovertank on an island and you have to find 3 thing majiggers to be able to pass the level. The game was colorful, and the island had a maze, a train track, and a giant hornet hive near the tracks. The water would damage the vehicle, and there was a lighthouse in the background. This was a demo, and I don't know what the rest of the game looked like. This was about 1998-2004 or so. Please, any info.
I've been looking for a game for years now and have never been able to find it, it's a top-down puzzle game with an "adventure" kind of setting. All I really remember is this song was in it (8-bit): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J26v1MV3okc Though in the game I played it was a lot faster. The goal of this game was simple, collect keys to open doorways, move stuff around etc etc. I got it from my grandma on a floppy disk to play on my dad's laptop in the late 90s early 2000s. I've asked it before on serveral forums, like I said been looking for it for years. As of a year ago I gave up on looking as I just can't remember enough details to find it. I've also gone through all 2d top-down puzzle games I could find in wiki's and arcade sites. I've wasted enough time on this really, but sometimes I dream about it and just HAVE to know what it was called. If anyone's got a clue, drop some games here I'll reward 20 euro's to whoever helps me find it.
Chip's challenge perhaps?
Some RTS I only played the demo but it had a mission where you could disguise an infantry unit as foliage and you had to hide from passing convoys. I recall there being something special about the tanks/apcs maybe unit upgrades that changed how they operated. Definitely not TA, C&C or Metal Fatigue which are the only ones I could think of. It was definitely a later 90s RTS and I remember the environments were a lot more detailed than the barren wastes of TA.
