Hearthstone and the expansions are fully free to play, however card packs can be purchased if willing using in-game currency called Gold or real-life money. Card packs guarantee at least one card of Rare quality but does not guarantee any further value. There are 5 card rarities: Basic, Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. Each card in the game can be crafted using dust. Dust is collected by disenchanting cards you no longer wish to use/have spares of or by getting it at random as a reward from The Arena. The game features 9 total classes, each based on a class from World of Warcraft. Each class has its own "hero power", which is a special power that class can use every turn at the cost of 2 mana. The hero powers fit the class, for example: Priest can heal his own minions or even himself, while the shaman can make totems that do various things depending on the type of totem. Standard contains only cards from the most recent expansion, while Wild contains all sets. Arena and Tavern Brawl by default use the Wild Format. CLASSES: [t]http://i.imgur.com/gWjW2UH.png[/t] Druids harness the vast powers of nature to preserve balance and protect life. Druids are unique for their Choose One mechanic allowing their spells and minions a greater diversity of effects. They are the only class with the ability to accelerate their mana curve using cards like Wild Growth to summon large powerful minions and unleash devastating spell combos earlier than their non-Druid opponents. The Druid Hero Power is Shapeshift which gives their hero +1 attack until the end of the turn as well as +1 armor. [t]http://i.imgur.com/LVVwXoD.png[/t] From an early age the call of the wild draws some adventurers from the comfort of their homes into the unforgiving primal world outside. Hunters use an assortment of traps, weapons, and spells to viciously hunt down their prey. They have the most powerful unique interactions with Beast minions, allowing their spells to deal extra damage or their minions to have additional powerful effects by having a Beast on the battlefield. The Hunter Hero Power is Steady Shot, which deals 2 damage directly to the enemy hero. [t]http://i.imgur.com/VkO0s5h.png[/t] The arcane magic available to magi is both great and dangerous, and thus is revealed only to the most devoted practitioners. Mages are the undisputed masters of magic, casting powerful Freeze spells and minions to stall their opponents agression and reduce their options. Mages can use a variety of arcane secrets to bolster their forces further, either copying powerful minions their opponent plays or duplicating their powerful spell synergy minions. The Mage Hero Power is Fire Blast, which can deal 1 damage to any character. [t]http://i.imgur.com/8uzrAp5.png[/t] This is the call of the paladin: to protect the weak, to bring justice to the unjust, and to vanquish evil from the darkest corners of the world. Weilding righteous fury in one hand and divine fury in the other there's almost nothing a Paladin can't do to enforce the will of the Light. The Paladin Hero Power is Reinforce, which summons a 1/1 'Recruit' minion. [t]http://i.imgur.com/fTZ0kDw.png[/t] In the midst of terrible conflict, no hero questions the value of the priestly orders. Priests are masters of Holy and Shadow Magic, able to return a minion from the brink of death or use terrible mental domination to steal their opponents minions and cards. The Priest Hero Power is Lesser Heal, allowing them to heal any character for 2 health. Free from the constraints of a conscience, these mercenaries rely on brutal and efficient tactics. Rogues use the powerful Combo ability which allows their cards to deal extra damage, summon more minions, and any other sort of imaginable effect if played AFTER another card. Should this not be enough Rogues have a handful of deadly poisons and brutal daggers to quickly remove minions and wear down their opponent. The Rouge Hero Power is Dagger Mastery, allowing them to equip a 1/2 Dagger weapon. [t]http://i.imgur.com/cL93UdH.png[/t] Unlike some other mystics, shaman commune with forces that are not strictly benevolent. Shamans call upon the power of the elements to aid them in battle, allowing them to deal out impressive damage or summon titantic servents at the cost of Overloading themselves denying them some of their next turns mana crystals. The Shaman Hero Power is Totemic Call, summoning a random Totem with some kind of minor effect like Taunt or Spellpower. [t]http://i.imgur.com/nflnKcc.png[/t] In the face of demonic power, most heroes see death. Warlocks see only opportunity. Warlocks make pacts with powerful Demons, enlisting their service at the expense of potentially damaging downsides and brutal sacrifices. Warlock minions and spells are typically chaotic and likely to harm it's caster just as much as their opponent. The Warlock Hero Power is Life Tap, allowing the Warlock to draw a card at the cost of 2 health. [t]http://i.imgur.com/iZq9eH5.png[/t] Warriors combine strength, leadership, and a vast knowledge of arms and armor to wreak havoc in glorious combat. Warriors spend almost as much time fighting on the battlefield as their own minions do. Having the largest variety of weapons and an almost endless supply of armor Warriors can cleave their way through minion after minion while seemingly never taking a scratch. The Warrior Hero Power is Armor Up, giving them +2 armor. Useful Links: KEY TERMS. FAQ: I have 1600 dust, what legendary should I craft first? Sylvanas Windrunner, Cairne Bloodhoof, and Ragnaros the Firelord are all solid, standard friendly choices. Craft these and you'll have them forever. What is the best way to get cards without spending money? Playing Arena. At 3 wins you win a pack and your 50 gold investment, at 7 wins you earn a pack an 150 gold, and at 12 wins you typically earn enough for two more arena runs as well as a chance for a second reward pack. Expect a lot of 3-3 or 5-3 runs when you just start out. The weekly Tavern Brawl also rewards 1 pack each week for your first win. I want to buy an adventure, which one do I buy? League of Explorers is typically regarded as being the better expansion than Blackrock Mountain. What packs should I focus on? Classic, as these packs will never rotate out of the Standard Format.
forsens reno shaman is really strong, currently 6-0 streaking with it
Whenever somebody has the board i feel bad for playing my cards and just letting my opponent get the good trades for himself. Just because of this i stopped playing hs. Maybe im not suitable enough for card games...
Play freeze Mage lol

-sniped- Dark Peddler is a fun card.
Very nice OP, guy. As of late, I haven't been spending any of my gold. Since I don't need to buy classic packs anymore, and I have all the competitive cards, I've just been saving gold for the next expansion for me to blow on packs.

I just lost to a Rogue running Pit Fighter. Today was a sad day.
Lets start this thread out by posting our really poorly designed cards [t]http://i.imgur.com/SdafTWZ.png[/t] It makes your draws amazing but you'll have to end the game fairly quickly if you're playing against a slower deck, which will be difficult without combo.
How about a card that makes every other card in your deck a random mana cost
Reno jackson is my absolute favorite card they've added to the game. it makes so many silly decks that just wouldn't work at least have a decent chance at standing against meta decks. The best part about playing Reno Jackson in a deck that doesn't usually run it is watching the constant "My apologies" and BM turn into silence as soon as I drop him. Or they just instant concede. It's also so fun to destroy combo decks with ice block and a Reno drop from 1hp.

New Tavern Brawl live in ALL regions! RETURN OF MECHAZOD "Mechazod wants a rematch! This time new allies stand against him. Good luck with this return co-op brawl!" Special Rules: Mechazod is back, and more ready than ever! He is a 2/95 minion with Taunt, who you need to destroy in order to win the Brawl. You are playing as either Malfurion the Druid, or Medivh the Mage, each with their own unique deck. If one of you dies before Mechazod, both of you lose. The goal here is to destroy Mechazod by depleting his health pool. On your turn, Mechazod will swap into your opponent's side of the board, making him available for attack. He will than use one of his special abilties. When you end your turn, he swaps into your side of the board, performs an action and allows your opponent to take care of him. Mechazod can do the following: 1. Bomb Salvo - Deal Attack damage to three random targets. 2. Double Zap - Deal Attack damage to both heroes. 3. Prioritize - Deal Attack damage to the biggest enemy minion. 4. Overclock - Increase his Attack by 2. 5. Kill the Lorewalker - Destroys Lorewalker Cho If you have full board, Mechazod will completely destroy it to make space for him. Strategy tips: Malfurion Those cards are important: -Aviana -Lorewalker Cho -Millhouse Manastorm! -Stalagg -Troggzor the Earthinator -Savage Roar Tip: Be careful and try to not overextend with your board. Use Millhouse Manastorm + Lorewalker Cho combo when Medivh has alot of spells, and your hand is empty, or has Mirror Entity. Medivh Those cards are important: -Leeroy Jenkins -Feugen -Troggzor the Earthinator -Animated Armor -Ancient Mage -Mirror Entity Tip: As a mage, you should try to support your Druid instead of focusing on pure damage with burn spells. You have lots of sustain, but Malfurion can deal greater amounts of damage than you with his Savage Roar.
Pip I'm genuinely glad you do these for Tavern Brawls now
Do I DE her? The major legendaries I still need are Jaraxxus, Justicar, Mal'ganis, Tirion, Alexstrasza, and Antonidas.

uh okay fuck you too [editline]13th January 2016[/editline] IT HAPPENED AGAIN ON THE NEXT GAME?? Am I misreading, like this is a co-op brawl right
Blizz help me, I have already made 3 Reno decks (Renolock, Reno Shaman and Reno Hunter) and I somehow have the need to do more but only 9 deckslots and I don't want my other decks to be destroyed. I don't play Secret Pally if that helps.

I really find this new Tavern Brawl fun. Now I want 2v2 duels as a game mode
PSA: Don't trade your tokens as Druid in Tavern Brawl. Please. Don't do it. Bomb Salvo is a thing.
I think my biggest tip for this Tavern Brawl is to not be afraid to Hero Power as Druid when he's low health A lot of the cards are best saved for when you have more mana, so getting a little extra damage can be useful
i craft jaraxas, dont play for a week come back, do quests, buy 2 packs 2 fucking jaraxas
i craft jaraxas, dont play for a week come back, do quests, buy 2 packs 2 fucking jaraxas
I was about to craft Jaraxxus, but decided to wait a week and guess what I unpacked a few days later? Now i can never craft a legendary again because I'm afraid I'm going to unpack it.
