Does someone know how long it is? I would like to buy it but if it's as short as Limbo I don't want to pay 20 eu for it, no matter how good the game or the devs are.

3-4 hours at most
Thanks. I think I'll wait till it drops below 15.
I played this game last week or so on Xbox One. It was definitely a fantastic spiritual successor to Limbo in just about all areas.
This was the first game I've felt genuine dread while playing, which was not even the case for Limbo.
Christ, that ending section sure was something. Is it just me or did it almost feel a little too goofy?
I found it to be alarming and offputting.
I felt genuinely horrified and just wanted it to be over.
Jesus christ, talk about LIMBO turned up to 11.

Oh yeah, it was creepy and offputting as hell, but some of the stuff that was happening on screens and more specifically the sounds that were happening were on the verge of being just goofy.

well, the sound was part of it for me.
Well that went from weird to weirder fast.
here's a good video explaining one theory on the story of this game, it's a huge mindfuck.
SPOILER ALERT

Inside has an alternate ending you can watch below:

I loved the ending section of the game. I would play a whole game dedicated to that.. it was so much fun.

Imagine being the person in charge of doing the sound design for the end sequence. That must have been really tough to come up with sounds for such a weird ending.

Yeah would have been tough I'm sure. Man the sounds in this game were stellar the whole way through. People don't appreciate audio enough but this game is a prime example of how immersive a game can become if it's done right.

Yeah - the sound design during the shockwave sequence was also really great. I'm usually not one to mull over the minor details like that in a game, but this game was finely crafted enough to make me do otherwise and take the time to appreciate such details.
I also love how the boy sped up on his own during several sequences due to his own adrenaline and fear, as opposed to having the player control it. That was also really impactful in terms of adding to the immersion.
Holy shit this was one of the most original things I've played in a long time. The overall aesthetic and art direction were great, and the ending was really fun to play. Given the length though I'm glad I played via family sharing and didn't pay full price for it.
Well that ending was... Something.

Now that I'm hearing people say this about the game, I feel like I need to somehow go play it now.
Just finished it, it was really well put together and looked fantastic but I don't think this is the automatic GOTY everyone is saying it is. Its great from an audio/visual point of view but I didn't enjoy any of the puzzles in this. Not because any were particularly hard, more tedious than anything.

I actually really enjoyed the puzzles in this game. They were quite abstract and organic, particularly the ones with the dogs, which is a nice change of pace from the standard climbing and physics-based ones of the genre.

Yeah but there's like 2-3 dog sections which I will admit were good. But there were too many tedious block puzzles or wait here for a spotlight to move then run out and do a thing. The solution was obvious but required a load of busywork.

? I can think of maybe 2 puzzles that were tedious. If you have to drag something it's rarely more than across the screen which takes maybe 5 seconds.

I've started replaying it and I'm breezing through way faster now that I know the solutions. The puzzles don't seem to be time-consuming in themselves.
Solid 7/10 game
I think people saying IT'S THE PERFECT GAME are grossly overhyping it. It also never stopped feeling like Limbo 2.0 to me which is unfortunate. I hope Play Dead can do something more unique with their next game.
It was great. But I guess the whole thing was a little too.. uh, 'Limbo' ? Nah idk
Anyway, the art/visual and use of physics was really impressive. I've been waiting a long time for a game to make decent use of physics while having good art/visual. I like plain color textures + good lighting
Presentation is easily this game's best achievement. The art style, lighting, music, animation, sound design, it's all top-notch.
There is a lot of care put into the boy's animations. The way he nervously looks around when you stop for a second, how he puts up his hands against the glass of windows, how he turns to look at danger and hunches over in fear, etc etc

All the animation is great. I was especially impressed by the [sp]morphing blob of humans[/sp] at the end, which moved naturally despite [sp]its unnatural shape[/sp].
