On October 23, 2077, the United States, China, and other nuclear-armed countries bombarded each other with a rapid exchange of nuclear missiles and bombs, lasting for only two hours. The destruction caused by the brief nuclear war was staggering; more energy was released in the early moments of the war than in all previous global conflicts combined. The Fallout games take place 90 years to more than two centuries after the Great War as humanity struggles to survive and rebuild. Some groups have barely managed to survive above ground, either scavenging the scorched ruins of cities or surviving and adapting to the new irradiated environment through mass mutation. Communities that were sealed in underground Vaults during the war are now emerging to re-populate the blasted landscape. Striving to organize and sustain the human race, these tattered remnants of civilization are threatened by psychotic mutants, rogue machines, vicious raiders, and all manner of hostile mutant creatures. The first two games take place mostly in the area known as the Core Region on the West Coast of the post-apocalyptic United States, where the main threats so far have been the Master and the Enclave. The third game takes place on the East Coast of the United States, in the Capital Wasteland of Washington DC, and surrounding areas of Virginia, as well in Pittsburgh and parts of Maryland. There has the Super Mutant threat expanded and is still at large, while the Enclave have returned as well to reclaim the wastes. The sequel to the third game takes place in the areas of Nevada, specifically the post-apocalyptic retro-futuristic Las Vegas, now known as New Vegas, and the surrounding areas of the Mojave Wasteland. The NCR (Short for New California Republic) plays a major part in the game's story, being in a three-way struggle amongst the Caesar's Legion, and the mysterious overseer Mr. House, and his army of rehabilitated Tribals and police robots, who is now in control of New Vegas. The fourth game is set to take place in Boston, Massachusetts, also know as the Commonwealth. It is where the mysterious organization called the Institute is located. It is known to possess advanced technology, including the ability to produce androids of high enough quality to pass as humans. Vault 111 is located here as well, and it appears to be the only Vault so far who possess some kind of Cryopreservation technology to preserve it's Vault Dwellers. It appears the Super Mutant threat is apparent here as well. You will take the role of a Vault-dweller, a person who has grown up in a secluded, underground survival Vault. Circumstances arise that force you to go Outside -- to a strange world 80 years after the end of the modern civilization. A world of mutants, radiation, gangs and violence. Your immediate task is to find a replacement for the broken water purification controller chip. Without that chip, your fellow Vault dwellers are doomed to dehydration or be forced to leave the safety of the Vault for the Outside. Fallout: A Post Nuclear Role Playing Game, also referred to as simply Fallout, developed by Interplay and its division, Dragonplay, and self-published on September 30, 1997, is the first game in the Fallout series. The game was initially intended to use Steve Jackson Games' GURPS system, but when Interplay made the decision to drop GURPS on February 12, 1997, it created its own system, SPECIAL. Fallout is seen as the "spiritual successor" to Interplay's classic 1987 CRPG Wasteland. The village elders have selected you to wear the sacred Vault-suit of your grandsire and, in time, to ascend to the leadership of your people. First you must prove your devotion to your people. Your tribe needs your help. If you are truly the Chosen One, then only you're capable of claiming the heritage of the Vault Dweller, to take back your birthright. Among the many wonders described in hallowed yellow pages of the Vault Dweller's Survival Guide is the Garden of Eden Creation Kit. The G.E.C.K. is said to have the power to turn the harsh Wastes into a fruitful paradise. The Vault Dweller's Survival Manual promises the redemption of the so called GECK to all of the Vault Dwellers. Your tribe survived over ten years of drought, but now their reserves are at an end. You must find Vault 13 and claim the technology that your tribe needs to survive. If you will fail in this quest, then your tribe will surely die. You must travel the perilous Wastes on a holy quest to find Vault 13. That's same Vault that cruelly cast your grandsire out into the Wastes 80 years ago. Fallout 2: A Post-Nuclear Role Playing Game is the sequel to the original Fallout. Released on September the 30th, 1998, it was officially developed by Black Isle Studios, which by that point had become a full-fledged design outfit. Fallout 2 is considered one of Black Isle Studios' best RPGs by most critics, and is generally well respected in the RPG community. By offering protection to villages of tribals the Brotherhood is able to draft it's recruits from among the tribals. At the beginning of the game, the player character is an Initiate, a new recruit to the Brotherhood, tasked to lead a squad of soldiers made up of the available troops. As the campaign against the raiders succeeds into dispersing them into the wasteland, the player character is accepted fully into the Brotherhood and learns the eventual goal of the Brotherhood: A campaign west across the Great Plains towards the Rocky Mountains in search of Vault Zero, the one-time nucleus and command center of the pre-war vault network, where the most senior government, scientific and themilitary leaders were housed and the highest technology available was maintained. Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel or simply Fallout Tactics, developed by Micro Forté and published by Interplay in 2001, is technically the third title in the Fallout series, but is not a traditional RPG (so it wasn't entitled Fallout 3). Instead, Fallout Tactics focuses on squad-based combat and introduces near real-time combat, called "continuous turn-based" by the developers, as well as multiplayer mode, to the Fallout series. The game takes place in the American Midwest rather than the West Coast, where the previous Fallout titles took place. Because of inconsistencies with all the previous Fallout games, Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel is not part of the official Fallout canon except for its pivotal events. The game takes place in 2277, 200 years after the Great War, on the East Coast of what used to be the United States, around Washington D.C., and Southwest Maryland, Western Pennsylvania and Northeast Virginia. The Player Character is a young inhabitant of Vault 101, a fallout shelter in the Washington D.C. area. The vault reportedly has been sealed for 200 years until the player's father opens the only door to the outside world and disappears without any explanation. The Vault Overseer believes that the player was involved in his father's escape, and sends the vault's security force to arrest him. This leaves the player little choice but to also escape from the vault, entering the outside world for the first time in his life, with the hope of locating his father and finding out why he left. Fallout 3 is a post-apocalyptic action role-playing game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It is the third installment in the Fallout series and a sequel to Interplay's Fallout and Fallout 2. It was released on October 28, 2008 in North America, on October 31, 2008 in Europe and on December 4, 2008 in Japan. The story continues some parts of the Fallout and Fallout 2 stories, but is not related in any way to the one in Fallout 3. Fallout: New Vegas takes place in 2281, three years after the events of Fallout 3, and thirty-nine years after Fallout 2, making this installment set the furthest of the entire series so far. The New California Republic plays a major part in the game's story, being in a three-way struggle amongst the Caesar's Legion slavers, and the local New Vegas populace. The player takes the roll as theCourier, who was meant to deliver a package to Primm. However, the Courier is then assaulted by the Great Khans and Benny. Benny then shoots the Courier. Shortly after a Khan can be seen digging a grave for him. The Courier is later found by a hulky robot named Victor, and is sent to the settlement of Goodsprings, where Doctor Mitchell saves his life. From there the game begins. Fallout: New Vegas has a definitive ending, just like Fallout 3. There are multiple endings which depend on your karma and reputation levels. Fallout: New Vegas is a role-playing video game developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Bethesda Softworks. While New Vegas is not a direct sequel, it uses the same engine and the same style of art as Fallout 3. It was developed by a few of the employees who worked on previous Fallout games at Black Isle Studios, along with a larger number of new employees. It is set in, and around, post-apocalyptic Las Vegas (New Vegas). Previously they raised the level cap, but what now? There isn't 'space' for new perks?
There are perks that aren't on the poster chart that you can get in-game.
Come on man! Hoarders edition was my short claim to fame, why did you have to use something else!?
Turrets are the worst part of this game.
You shouldn't be allowed to make OPs, you never bring anything new.
Is Mizo just a thread sniping bot?
Turrets are the worst part of this game.
they're not that hard to deal with tbh but the ones that set you on fire can suck a dick
Talking about the OP, they didn't even change the top image to V22, just kept the V112.
Yeah seriously good luck getting a "essential mods" portion in this OP.

Okay I'm gonna keep on banging about this, because I can't see anybody anywhere having the same issue as I am. For some buttfucked reason the Minutemen ending is just not happening for me. I'm completely stuck in [sp]the Institute[/sp] with Preston, Sturges and 2 minutemen and cannot do anything. Quest tells me to talk to Preston, but all he does is say the generic "Hey." "General." "What do you need?" lines and nothing is happening. I tried to teleport out via console commands and nobody is talking to me. I can't even exit my Power Armour. If I just start wandering around the Wasteland, Preston will appear out of fucking nowhere to talk to me about a Settlement that need our help, and then promptly goes back to being the generic answering machine that he is. Before this if I went onto the Prydwen none of the more major NPCs would talk to me, but clearly I was allowed up there since none of them were hostile and all the random NPCs were greeting me and so on. For some reason every single NPC at Bunker Hill is covering for their lives 24/7 (have been for quite a while), but I could still trade and talk with them, until my whole Preston issue happened. Before all this I haven't had a single big issue with the game, but all of a sudden the whole game just shit itself, out of nowhere. I kinda really wanted to see the end, too.
Mizo I found the Never Ending Pipe Revolver an a Legendary Radroach.
There are perks that aren't on the poster chart that you can get in-game.
yeah from magazines and companions and such
Calling for a ban on Mizo and new thread, Ave True to Cesar
I read in the last thread that someone found the the old and new vault 101 vault suit with console commands, does anyone have pictures? I really want to see how the old one looks in Fo4.
:what:
Yeah that's in the last thread too, don't know why the hyphens are now question marks though.
Has anyone found the hacking holotapes yet? I really love how they did that feature, putting in rogue holotapes to control turrets and shit. Very immersive.
Woah what I didn't know about this, where do you get them?
So, something that isn't calling the OP crap, I found some weird wig on a caravan. [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/389921374367944817/F250113E20F2AD4FD852B41F628613A5414854C3/[/t] This is my character with the wig...
I read in the last thread that someone found the the old and new vault 101 vault suit with console commands, does anyone have pictures? I really want to see how the old one looks in Fo4.
help vault 0 and you can probably find the vault 101 suit
Woah what I didn't know about this, where do you get them?
Total Hack magazines.
it would have been nice to know legendary protectrons fucking nuke themselves when they die before I fought one
Can we just not use this thread?
Is there anyway to clip objects when settlement building? I want to place a guard tower on a roof but its floating above the roof a couple inches.
it would have been nice to know legendary protectrons fucking nuke themselves when they die before I fought one
All bots do it. Making Legendary Assaultrons literally the worst thing in existence.
it would have been nice to know legendary protectrons fucking nuke themselves when they die before I fought one
I was wondering why I kept dying in the [sp]HaluciGen[/sp] building.
Has anyone found the hacking holotapes yet? I really love how they did that feature, putting in rogue holotapes to control turrets and shit. Very immersive.
So it took me two playthroughs to realize that you actually had to put the holotape in to achieve the effect. I spent a great deal of time being upset that I couldn't turn turrets friendly.:v:
it would have been nice to know legendary protectrons fucking nuke themselves when they die before I fought one
All legendary bots do.
Can you get more than 17 settlers in your settlements?
Yes. It's 10 + Charisma stat. Can be boosted with Charisma apparel as well.
