G2Play.net does it work? - Games

So I recently found my way to a site called [URL="http://www.G2Play.net"]www.G2Play.net[/URL] As you can see they are selling very cheap CD-Keys probably bought from third world countries. Does anyone have any experience with them? I've read that they're good and cheap, while other people say that their keys doesn't work. So does anyone have any experience with buying on this site?

They buy retail boxes and take the keys, then return them. Thus you may get banned for using the keys (unlikely) or the key may be disabled.

I'm tempted to buy saints row 2 from there. Too scared tho :(

I don't think it would be legal for Valve to actually ban your account for using their keys. After all you paid for them, and the sellers did nothing illegal. They might block the key, but I doubt they'll ban you. But what do I know.

I just read through a thread on a swedish forum about that site. Like 95% of the people who bought keys on the site got a working one. The ones who didn't get a working key emailed the support and got a new one, most of the times at least. I just bought some CS 1.6 pack just to see if I would recieve a key. I got the key but it has allready been used. I just messaged them and hope to get another key.

Uhm... wait, so you buy the key and then you can redeem it and download it via STEAM or something?

I've read alot of complaints about this site and many people being scammed. It's not worth it honestly. plus Valve deserves your 50 bucks you cheap bastard

It's not like Valve has that many expenses. They make shitloads of profit from Steam.

They have the worst support EVER. My key was allready used so I contacted them. It takes them about 15-20 minutes to answer and I had to write to them 4 times... Now they want me to give them the password to my steam account so they can "add" the game. Hell no I am not giving out my steam account.

Bought something from these people a bit back, the key was invalid so I asked for a refund. They then asked me for my steam account and password so they could add the game themselves. Had to go through the whole paypal thing to get my money back.

I know it's a bit late, but I purchased Left 4 Dead on G2play for 13$, and it worked.

I bought Mass Effect 2 from there and downloaded through EADM, it works. Anyone wants to get reffered and get 4% off on any game for over 20 euros? Yes, I do get bonus points for reffering people. So it's a win win situation! You get a discount I get bonus points!
