Hello fellow Facepunch'ers :) I’ve been working on a game project called “Jazon and the Dead“, together with two of my good friends. We have already developed a demo of the game, but to take it further we need your help! We set up a crowdfunding campaign on the Fig platform, to help raise money for the project. The campaign just went live, and will run for a month. If you think our zombie action-adventure game deserves a chance, then visit our campaign page here at Fig.co and support us :) Also if you have any comments on, or questions about the project, feel free to ask them here in this thread. I will try to answer them to my best. Here is a little info about the game: Jazon and the Dead is a style-rich, blood-splashed, top-down, action-adventure game that mixes brain-twisting puzzles with an engaging narrative, dark humor and a hip 80’s vibe. The game’s stark comic book visuals set this game apart from others in the genre. Jazon and the Dead is heavily inspired by old horror and B-movies (Night of the Living Dead and Braindead), with visuals influenced by comic book artists such as Mike Mignola, Charlie Adlard and Frank Miller. As the game starts, Jazon wakes up disoriented in the restroom of a bar and he doesn’t remember a thing. As he leaves the bar, he finds a ruined world ruled by zombies and scumbags. As Jazon travels across the wasteland, he must discover his past to save the future. Along the way he meets Zoey, a wasteland veteran who just wants to forget about her history. Together they visit the oracle in the mountains, who foresees a prophecy leading them on an epic odyssey to save humanity from complete annihilation.
I have only one question: Why use something as shady as Fig?
I have only one question: Why use something as shady as Fig?
Because sometimes you just want to take the money and run yah know? Not saying that this is their plan entirely seeing as how they've got a working demo and all, but I know I personally would never back something on a platform spearheaded by Tim Schafer and Justin Bailey. Not to mention the garbage TOS stuff in there about being an "investor" which by legal definition and required approval by the SEC, nothing about Fig adds up to. Otherwise, the concept seems interesting but I'm not sure how much mileage "zombie action-adventure" gets seeing as how you guys are a good few years late to the 'slap-zombies-in-it-and-instant-sales' train.
I have only one question: Why use something as shady as Fig?
We trust the people at Fig, and they are doing a great job by suporting the game and our campaign :)

I wish you the best of luck in your development, but if you had ran a campaign on literally any other website, even your own, you would have a better chance at getting funding than from Fig.
