Hello, Bitl here. Some of you might know this, but for the rest of you, I have been working on a new series of mods known as the FIREFIGHT series. This is a series of mods that takes the concept of the popular Horde Mode genre and then puts some HL2 goodness into it. Both of these mods are in a W.I.P. state and one or more features in these may be finished or unfinished. Kind of like Early Access in a way. For example, a match on dm_lockdown would have Combine Firefight with the gamemode Score Attack. [B][U]HEALTH CRISIS:[/U][/B] - In this mode, you have a starting health of 100 instead of 200 (the default health) [B][U]DOUBLE TROUBLE:[/U][/B] - The game spawns twice the enemies rather than once. [B][U]HARDCORE:[/U][/B] - Less health, less suit power, no respawns. - HARD/VERY HARD DIFFICULTY RECOMMENDED. [U][B]REALISM:[/B][/U] - Replaces the default aiming system with a Red Orchestra-style aiming system. - Weapon recoil is more realistic. - No bunny hopping. - No shooting while sprinting. - The Combine Sniper Rifle/SVD is less Counter Strike-like and more realistic. - Bullet penetration is enabled. - NPC ragdolls have violent convulsions. - The player's death camera is in first person instead of third person, and time slows down once the player has died. [U][B]HARDCORE REALISM:[/B][/U] - HARDCORE + REALISM = Insane difficulty. [B]PERKS:[/B] Perks are what you get after killing a rare enemy. They give the player better abilities and also help the player in certain situations. However, perks are randomly chosen, which mean that they have a 1 in 6 chance of spawning. Don't worry, they [U]are[/U] common! Perks also are removed when you die in-game, so DON'T DIE and you'll keep your perks. [U][B]EXTRA HEALTH AND SUIT POWER:[/B][/U] This gives you an extra Medkit and a Battery. Perfect if you are low on health. [U][B]HEALTH REGENERATION:[/B][/U] This gives you health regeneration that can fill all the way up to your max health. (Normal = 500, Health Crisis = 350, Hardcore = 200) [U][B]INFINITE AUX POWER:[/B][/U] This gives you infinite aux power, so you can run around the place and not run out of breath. Also, infinite bullet time. It's cool. However, in FIREFIGHT RELOADED, you can use a file that's in the SMOD FIREFIGHT cfg files named "mp_start.cfg". This file will also be in FIREFIGHT RELOADED as well when it releases in 2015.

Hi everyone, here's a few little announcements for FIREFIGHT RELOADED. 1. The LOCKED ALPHA. Next month, I plan on releasing a W.I.P version of the game, known as the LOCKED ALPHA. The LOCKED ALPHA is like a private alpha, only it can be redistributed, however no updates (except hotfixes) will be released for the LOCKED ALPHA. The release date will be announced later this month. 2. The NEW GAMEPLAY DEMO. This weekend (or something like that), I'm planning to release another gameplay demo for FIREFIGHT RELOADED. It will be on a different map and it will be showing off a different gamemode. Stay tuned!

And to celebrate this occasion, I released a BUNCH of information about FIREFIGHT RELOADED's LOCKED ALPHA! Here's a little update for the mod for those who are worrying about it: [QUOTE]Today, I decided to make a documentation on the entities used to make FIREFIGHT RELOADED a enjoyable game experience (as well as some other stuff.). Please note these entities come from the latest version, so these entities might not function like how they are described or not even exist at all in older versions (LOCKED ALPHA). npc_maker_firefight - A modified npc_maker entity that spawns random NPCs depending on the gamemode. This spawner can also spawn rare NPCS if allowed to (can be toggled in the "ADVANCED OPTIONS"). npc_maker_xeninvasion - A modified npc_maker entity that spawns "support" NPCs (Bullsquid and Houndeyes) for the Xen Invasion gamemode, and can be only activated on that gamemode. item_crate_firefight - A brand new entity built using item_item_crate, this works about the same as the normal entity, however it can randomize through a list of 10 different items. You can also define a custom model with it. This way, modders who create custom weapons (adding soon) can add their weapons into the game in some way. npc_combine_ace - A version of the Combine Elite with green armor (like the one from SMOD). However, the Combine Ace can leap to places no other soldier can go to, use the secondary fire of their weapons more often than elites, spawn with more health than elites, and can deal DOUBLE the damage of a normal Combine Soldier or Elite. weapon_sniper_rifle - The newest weapon in the player's arsenal, this allows the player to snipe from high places. The player can zoom into the sniper rifle and fire up to 2 shots per magazine Demonstration Video 3 Stuff: Soon, there will be a new video that will show off the new SNIPER RIFLE and more new features that will be released with the upcoming Pre-Beta. Hi guys, I decided to announce the release dates for both the SURVIVOR LOCKED ALPHA and FIREFIGHT RELOADED BETA. Even though SURVIVOR took up most of the development time for the FIREFIGHT RELOADED BETA and I took a two-week break off from both projects does not mean that both of them are dead. However there is a long period of time between the two releases. this means that you guys might need to wait a little bit while I polish up them. Here's the dates: FIREFIGHT RELOADED BETA: 4-14-15 SURVIVOR LOCKED ALPHA: 4-21-15 You guys should be able to see FR beta a few days after Easter, but those waiting for SURVIVOR might need to wait a little bit more before the LOCKED ALPHA's release. It's kinda hard trying to push out 2 games at once since putting time and effort into 2 is a little harder than putting them into 1, but I hope you guys enjoy the final products. :wink:

It's a real shame though. Have you thought about doing something to make your mod more known? Or are mostly waiting until it goes out of alpha?
