Icefrog has a history of adding new items in bulk, along with radical changes, and then later on either removes them or re-balances them.

The additions aren't similar at all
Dota really has changed a lot since the last time I played. The consumable tomes are the last thing I ever expected Icefrog to reuse from WC3. Generally the first thing that comes to mind when you think of stats and xp tomes are those "Angel Arena Xtramegasuperanimedarkness edition" maps.
I like the addition of more comeback mechanics and items. It's a much better alternative to a forfeit system that people always bitch about dota 2 not having. Getting shitstomped early and managing to regain the upperhand in a match is by far a more enjoyable and satisfying experience imo. I hope they continue the trend.

I just tried out Echo Sabre on Void and it us REALLY good early game if you are the type of carry to go for early game kills. Pair it with a MoM and you will not be deficiant in DPS and disables.

Needs to be made of bigger pieces still. Cryt and Orchid have super safe buildups with all the small items.
Maybe make Cryt claymore + something. Don't know.
